Indeed, for those who identify themselves to the ego. But in truth there is no ego, it is merely conceptual, a mental representation of self.

Granted, there is no ego.

It is but a suit of clothes we allow ourselves to wear during this incarnation and is removed after death.

Ultimately God, for our souls are but a part of Him.

It allows us to have individuality and a sense of īselfī while we are here during our spiritual growth. It allows Him to experience His creation, through our eyes, hidden on this side of the veil of forgetfulness.

Who am I? Pure awareness. Choiceless, effortless awareness. The self is an illusion. The illusion is what we are not, so that we may seek and find what we are: nothing......and everything!

Re: Donīt worry, be happy! Break through the self-created illusions!
He is the source. He is you. You are Him.

He is...

Near-death experiencers who have actually seen the brilliant light and experienced the ecstatic love, know without a doubt they have seen God. Once they enter into the light of God, they never want to leave. But they are told it is not their time to die, so they return having this experience of God seared into their very hearts and minds. They carry this experience back with them to share with others, but they sometimes find difficulty doing so. But their experience with the light is just too important to keep to themselves. For example, one particular experiencer was told that the time is now for humanity to know for certain that there is life after death.

Air is to the physical world as God is to the spirit world. God is life, light, time and space, the pattern for all life, the energy of all matter, the heart of all that matters, the very essence of all being, the source behind every sun, the source of all light and love, the core of all things, the single point of infinite light and absolute love, and the very life force of the universe.

God is the Light That Loves

Within the light of God, we realize that everyone and everything is connected to God. In the light is the cure for all diseases, the knowledge within every universe. The light is wisdom and love beyond all comprehension. (Dr. Dianne Morrissey)

The closer one gets to God, the closer one comes to all the light, love and knowledge in the universe. (Jayne Smith)

The joy of being in the light of God can be so intense, we may think we are going to shatter. But God will not let us shatter. We are not permitted to take in more of this bliss and joy than we are able to handle at a time. (Jayne Smith)

God is Love

God is love in its purest form ... To be in his presence and share his love, we must become as he is and learn to love without judgments or conditions. (Betty Eadie)

Godīs standard is pure love. Our lives will be compared to this standard in the light of God. Pure love is serving God and others without having self-centered motives. (Daniel Rosenblit)

God is Everything

The only reality is God and God is love. God loves without limit. God is everything. (Linda Stewart)

I remember a near-death experiencer say that their experience of being one with God was like suddenly knowing absolutely everything - like suddenly becoming aware of every grain of sand in the universe and knowing why it was put there. (Kevin Williams)

God is everything. (Dr. George Rodonaia)

God is Life

God is everywhere because nothing exists that is not a part of God. God is neither a man nor a woman nor a thing. Life itself is God. (Dr. PMH Atwater)

All creation is God exploring Godīs very being through every way imaginable, through every one of us. (Mellen-Thomas Benedict)

The Biblical name for God, "I AM," really has a question mark behind it. "I AM? WHAT AM I?" (Mellen-Thomas Benedict)

God is Darkness

God is more than light. God is also the darkness. (Dr. George Rodonaia)

God is Energy

The Master-Vibrational energy of God controls the universe and seems to regulate everything except the ignorance within the minds of people on earth. (Arthur Yensen)

God is the creative energy of the universe, expressing itself as us and everything else. Wherever we are, God is. Like God, we are constantly expressing ourselves in some way. (Jan Price)

The Nature of God

God has a vantage point we can never perceive. He sees into our eternal pasts and futures and knows our eternal needs. In his great love he answers prayers according to this eternal and omniscient perspective. He answers all prayers perfectly. (Betty Eadie)

The small inner voice in your thoughts is the voice of God. (Sandra Rogers)

God wants us to become as he is, and has invested us with godlike qualities. I understood that he wants us to draw on the powers of heaven, and that by believing we are capable of doing so, we can. (Betty Eadie)

The little voice inside us that prompts us to do good things comes from God. It is the light of love inside each of us. (Kerry Kirk)

God doesnīt force anyone to heaven, hell, or anywhere. We are free to choose and build our destiny. All paths lead back to God. (Edgar Cayce)

God perfectly understands our lack of knowledge. He knows that most of us do not remember our commitments to him. In his eyes we are like little children: susceptible and even expected to make mistakes. (Betty Eadie)

In the light of God, it is impossible to lie to yourself, or to others or to God. There is no place for secrets to hide. (Dr. George Ritchie)

God does not judge us when we die. In the clear light and love of God, some may judge, condemn and punish only themselves. There is no judgment except the judgment one levels at oneself. (Kevin Williams)

God has promised not to intervene in our lives unless we ask. (Betty Eadie)

It is Godīs love for us that sends us on our journey and it is our love for God that allows us to return to Godīs loving arms again. (David Goines)

God feels the pain we feel and inflict on others. (Sandra Rogers)

One of the grandest mysteries of God is his foreknowledge. Truth is knowledge of things as they were, as they are, and as they are to come. God, possessing all truth, has the ability to know all things in advance. This being the case, we can trust him to give us only that which will be good for us in completing our lifeīs mission successfully. (Betty Eadie)

Godīs overriding desire is to purify the darkness of our souls, irrespective of the suffering it puts us through to achieve that end. If we learn to accept our situations in life, instead of fighting it, then our suffering is greatly minimized. (Daniel Rosenblit)

God never uses his love to hurt us. To do so would countermand his own law of judgment. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." So he will never let us down, will never forsake us. His love is extended to all, and he knows exactly how to reach each person. (Betty Eadie)

God Encompasses All Religions

God does not care about theology. God cares mostly about your heart. (Rev. Howard Storm)

It doesnīt matter what you call God. The different religions have different ways of explaining the same God. (Mellen-Thomas Benedict)

Your beliefs shape the kind of feedback you get from God. (Mellen-Thomas Benedict)

God is not concerned about a personīs sexual orientation whether gay or straight. (Kerry Kirk)

Kevin Williamsī Idea of the Concept Called "God"

Many near-death experiencers have tried to describe God and it is clear that words are useless when trying to completely convey what God is. In fact, the very term God is practically a useless term, if not the most useless term because it has been abused by so many for so long. With this in mind, I will try to convey my own understanding of the concept called God.

Imagine all of reality, everything that there is, to be a gigantic dream. It is a dream for which there exists nothing outside of it. This dream is pure thought, emotion, deeds and words. The dream is every event that was, is and will be. Some words that have been used in an attempt to describe this dream are:

(1)
As pure thought, this dream is Mind itself. It is Light that contains all the knowledge there is. The Light is what everything is made up of.

(2)
As pure emotion, this dream is unconditional Love itself. It is the power that holds everything together - the power behind every atom.

(3)
As pure Being, this dream is Life itself. It is thought put into action - into the physical and every other dimension of reality. The dreamer is living Spirit with Mind as the builder and everything (the dream) is the result.

Trying to describe exactly what or who God is is like trying to describe life itself - an impossibility. It is impossible to fathom the unfathomable. Words, by their very nature, are limiting. Once you define something you have set a limit on it. (Kevin Williams)

Thank you very much for sharing Seeker of Truth. The seeker is the sought!

I think we could sum it up by saying, as AC 2674 said, that we are nothing and everything.

This all sounds great.
How do you implement this?
The info is not powerful enough for some of us
to get the "aha" experience and break thru.
Do some of us have to get sweaty and put our backs into our living?
What would you suggest for us blocked ones?

Re: Donīt worry, be happy! Break through the self-created illusions!
unfortunately there is no implementation
for there is not "someone" there to
implement something,
there is no doer.

Nobody is experiencing,
nobody is reading these lines.
Just reading is happening...

Realising This knows no method, no path, no Guru, no seeking, no time.
It is available right now, right here.

īEnlightenmentī and all that, is a dream;
the dream of a person that doesnīt really exist.
Nobody is enlightened, it is not possible.

Advaita is not a teaching.
It cannot be thought.
Advaita is realising this life as One.

There is nothing wrong with seeking, but also, nothing is being realized by seeking...
it is just entertainment.

Clinging to these words as another īideaī does not help either...

John what about the subconcious stored in the tissues and bone of the body. Subconscious impulses/emotions can alter the way we think until they are released into the Light.

As AC 5 said, Itīs not something to be implemented.

It is completely effortless. Your effort is wasted in creating and strengthening these conceptual blockages.

Go to the source of your thoughts of blockages, where they donīt arise.

You will realize that you are always free of blockages. There is not even a thing such as a blockage, other than a mere construct of the mind to which one identifies oneself.

Ain SophIA :

"You are accustomed to dealing with things, physical and mental.
I am not a thing, nor are you.
We are neither matter nor energy,
neither body nor mind.
The way to truth lies through the destruction of the false.
To destroy the false, you must question your most inveterate beliefs.
Of these, the idea that you are the body is the worst."

Re: Donīt worry, be happy! Break through the self-created illusions!
Ain SophIA, this is the result of an illusory identification of self. What one feels the need to resist, through such identification, persists, and seemingly manifests with an autonomy of its own when in presence of the mental stimuli, making it look like an impulse, until consciously "released". The physical body reacts accordingly through tensions, muscular twitches, and such.

This is like when someone tries to defend a glorious image that he has of himself against arising mental representations that he deems evil. They are repressed, put in the "dark" so that he canīt see them and feel safe, but they will inevitably arise again. Further repressions may lead to neurosis, where one may be "invaded" by thoughts, feelings, or what seems like illogical behaviors.

Resistance=pain. Always. Same as trying to hold one side of a polarity and avoiding the other. Whatever is resisted grows stronger. In early childhood, sometimes painful emotions are repressed as a defense mechanism, they are hidden away. Ever hide something so good that you canīt find it again? These emotions seek release by unconscious projections onto other people and situations. Feel all your feelings, good and bad, and release them. Accept deeply and completely yourself and others.

The Witness Self can be a puppet master for the small self. "Sometimes Illusion Enhances Performance". For instance, an actor, singer, The folks who work at Disney create charachters for a desired effect. The can put on the charachters like a suit for effect---yet realize their essential self is not that charachter. This increases the potential expressions for yourself in this life time as you do not become attatched to a certain stereo-type of yourself and realize that the WITNESS is your true essence that can work through the small self to be anyone you desire.
