Lying BABB Maggot™ (OP) 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 stipulates that Americans wishing to renounce their U.S. citizenship must sign an oath of renunciation in the presence of a diplomatic or consular officer. The oath reads: "I hereby absolutely and entirely renounce my United States nationality, together with all rights and privileges and all duties of allegiance and fidelity." The renunciation must take place in a foreign country, and the State Department reserves the right to reject the citizen´s attempt to ditch their citizenship. [link to www.immigration-usa.com] |

Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I looked into emigrating to Canada last year. Basically, there are three points that will help tremendously in gaining legal residency. - Having close family in Canada. - Being fluent in spoken and written French language. - Having valuable technical, medical, industrial or business skills. If you fit into one or more of those categories, you have a good chance. |

Too little to love or to hate. Leave us alone and you’ll see How we can drag down the State! We are the worm in the wood! We are the rot at the root! We are the taint in the blood! We are the thorn in the foot! Mistletoe killing an oak— Rats gnawing cables in two— Moths making holes in a cloak— How they must love what they do!. Yes—and we Little Folk too, We are busy as they— Working our works out of view— Watch, and you’ll see it some day! |

Anonymous Coward 12/08/2005 10:16 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | True, Canada is still technically under the rule of the crown, and Paul Martin and Co. seem like a bunch of jack-asses always involved in some sort of scandal, but what sort of government isn´t these days. Legal pot and free health care for the most part may make Canada better than the US. Also not having to feel like a murderer or being in a nation that is completely losing it´s mind would make me feel better. Canada is worth a try for me. |
