Honestly I can not blame him for feeling that way. Our country is in the shitter.

I looked into emigrating to Canada last year.

Basically, there are three points that will help tremendously in gaining legal residency.

- Having close family in Canada.

- Being fluent in spoken and written French language.

- Having valuable technical, medical, industrial or business skills.

If you fit into one or more of those categories, you have a good chance.

True, Canada is still technically under the rule of the crown, and Paul Martin and Co. seem like a bunch of jack-asses always involved in some sort of scandal, but what sort of government isn´t these days. Legal pot and free health care for the most part may make Canada better than the US. Also not having to feel like a murderer or being in a nation that is completely losing it´s mind would make me feel better. Canada is worth a try for me.
