That is the covenant mentioned in Hebrews, a book that was written after 40 days from resurrection from the grave. We are under the one He made with the Apostles on the night of the last supper. The moment it came into effect was when Jesus said "It is finished." while on the cross. This next verse is when a covenant is made with the people who will become Priest and Kings, not to each other, their sheep are the ones Christ has just killed as a sign to them (one of many)that God is fulfilling prophecy. They then start 1,000 year training course in how to handle the various things that will be needed by a population that is not Glorified until the age of 120 years. Not that they will be sinners, it is teaching them the things they will be able to once they are considered to be an old man.

Just out of curiosity was Abraham's altar in the same place that the Jewish and Muslim temples have/are been? Christ was the High Priest of Salem, not Jerusalem. He was the one who met Abraham, that lifted the promise of divine protection for this verse.

The site of where He died is where Abraham would have killed Issac had He not been stopped.

Christ would also have appeared as a man to Abraham, probably just before going to Sodom to see how the fire from God in Heaven actually works. That is the type of fire Christ uses on Satan's Babylon. It is a punishment for not letting the exiled Israel live. Satan desires to kill all of the 'Holy People' Just like at the flood the plan fall a tad short of perfection, God snatched just enough of life that they could rebuild themselves as they were before being related to fallen angels. (remember the 2/3 that didn't have children and remained loyal to God, the ones that are not given in marriage so they are static in number, well in the new earth there is also a new heaven and that is when they will begin to 'get married' to each other. To do it sooner would mean that Satan could have tempted Angelic children, not good to sent a child to the lake. The static population in the new earth is the whole 12 Tribes and the Church as defined by the 7th trump. They become the closest to being with God as is possible as their home is the same city as the Throne of GOD.
