If something like this could go on "forever", then we wouldn'd be alive.
It would have happened some time in the past already.
Large meteor strikes. Crustal shifts. etc. hundreds, thousands or millions of years ago would still see high pressure abiotic oil leaking.

This would have already happened from one cause or another.
