Looks like the plan now is to just let everyone in the gulf get many wiffs of benzene and have them die in a year or two. I don't think the authorities will do an evacuation unless people start dropping dead in the streets.

Hey, Scrump, TX Patriot just called me an told me about this thread. It was perfect timing as I was posting about this very thing, on another board, where some refused to believe that help was offered and not taken up. Looking at your OP, many of the dates are recent (in June). Because of the other thread I've been on, I pulled up the following, which is refers to a Dept of State briefing from May 26. So, some of these offers were made long before what the .pdf says.

As desperate efforts continue to stop the oil spewing from beneath the ocean floor into the Gulf of Mexico, 17 countries have offered to help in some way or another, but for now BP and officials coordinating the clean-up effort have accepted assistance from only two of those countries, Mexico and Norway.

At yesterday’s State Department briefing, spokesman P.J. Crowley updated reporters on the offers of international assistance the Department has received to help with the oil spill in the Gulf.

He said the U.S. has received offers to assist from 17 countries and four international organizations. The countries are : Canada, Mexico, Korea, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and Vietnam. The organizations are : the European Union, including the European Maritime Safety Agency, the environmental unit of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, and the United Nations Environment Program and the International Maritime Organization.

Though the State Department receives the offers, it is BP and the Unified Area Command, led by the Coast Guard, that are the entities that decide which offers to accept. So far, the UAC has accepted skimmers and booms offered by Mexico and Norway. He deferred questions as to why only those offers had been accepted so far to the UAC in Louisiana.

These countries that asked to help have been turned down by the United States of BP because they cannot profit off another countries volunteerism. Plus they don't want to be sued when they all get sick and die.

That being said ALL these countries should not ASK they should DEMAND to come into the gulf and start skimming the oil, because once this oil gets out of the gulf it's going to affect the world.

Some of them are from April... it's a crime.

As we work to mitigate the effects of the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, the United States is grateful for the offers of assistance received from seventeen countries and four international bodies in the form of equipment, expertise and general assistance. The countries include: the Governments of Canada, Mexico, the Republic of Korea, Croatia, France, Germany, Ireland, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Vietnam. The international bodies offering assistance include: the European Maritime Safety Agency, the European Commission’s Monitoring and Information Centre, the International Maritime Organization, and the Environment Unit of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs and the United Nations Environment Program.

The Unified Area Command (UAC) under the direction of the Coast Guard, is coordinating the oil spill response in the Gulf. It includes representatives of the responsible parties, affected states and other Departments and agencies of the U.S. Government. The National Incident Command (NIC), headed by the U.S. Coast Guard, is working with the Department of State to support the UAC as it sources equipment, supplies and expertise.

In addition to general offers of assistance, specific offers include experts in various aspects of oil spill impacts; research and technical expertise; and equipment, including boom, dispersants, oil pumps, and skimmers. The UAC prioritizes resource needs continuously, adjusting priorities as operations and operational planning require. The focus for supplies is in bulk – the UAC is currently obtaining more than 250,000 feet of boom per week. It currently has 15 contracts for resources with other countries.

A number of offers of assistance have been accepted. These include: Mexico’s offer of two skimmers and 13,780 feet of boom which were accepted in early May; Norway’s offer of eight skimming systems which was accepted in early May; Netherland’s offer of three sets of Koseq Rigid Sweeping Arms that was accepted on May 23; and Canada’s offer of 9,843 feet of containment boom which was accepted on June 4. In addition, the U.S. Government has accepted and is grateful for assistance in the form of notification regarding the spill sent by the International Maritime Organization to its member states and coordination of EU offers of assistance by the European Commission’s Monitoring and Information Centre.

BP also directly sources equipment (such as skimmers, busters, boom) and technical experts worldwide, including from Algeria, Australia, Bahrain, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Latvia, Norway, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Taiwan and the United Kingdom. The Department of State has assisted when necessary to enable this sourcing.

Department of State assists in this effort to source equipment, supplies and services from foreign governments and international bodies in three ways: 1) receiving offers of assistance, forwarding these offers to the UAC through the NIC, and communicating with those governments and bodies about their offers; 2) reaching out through our posts abroad to locate potential sources of critical supplies and equipment; and 3) supporting BP’s international sourcing through our diplomatic and consular functions, such as reaching out to relevant ministries and expediting visa processing. Some offers of international assistance that have been received are not needed at this time.

With few exceptions, these international offers of assistance are made on a reimbursable basis, which means that the assistance is provided only if paid for by the recipient. All offers of assistance are considered promptly and carefully, are expedited if needed, and are appreciated greatly by the American people as we address this threat to our Gulf coast.

they want people starving (for welfare and assistance checks) they want them dependent on the government, this oil spill will shrink the U.S. food supply and contaminate farm lands with acid rain.

they want people sick from the contaminants and oil slicks and bad water/crops this will produce throughout Fla and the eastern seaboard-the government owned health insurance will be stretched to the limit when all the 'sick' people from this crap start ending up with emphysema, skin conditions, cancers and Lord only knows what else (they probably think this will help keep their health care policies from being over thrown in the future because SOOO many will be sick).

they want people in government housing, relocation camps, government subsidized apartments, trailers,
relocated people are dependent on the government for everything, money, food, insurance, jobs, schools, these people are off-kilter, outofwhack, they are easy to control this way, they don't know what hit them, all they know is their homes are not liveable, they can't drink the water and they have to move until its clean. (That'll really throw the election off this November and in two years).

The government doesn't want all these countries in our gulf helping for only 1 reason,
I'm not sure I have figured it out yet though
1. it's going to blow up, and they don't want to be responsible to a bunch of country's for dead volunteers
2. they HAVE to see what it is doing to our beaches, so they KNOW how bad it is and what a huge job it would be for just BP to clean it.
3. therefore they are purposely letting this happen, they must think this will further their agenda's to their conclusion which includes cap and tax

Some (few) were accepted... but what was rejected (indefinitely 'Under Consideration') is massive, significant, & damning.

I agree with the person who stated that these countries need to adamantly demand access to participate in the clean up.

This disaster may only be effecting the surrounding states at the present time, however, it will most likely become a disaster on a global scale.

This is the truth of it all...as barry has his contacts with weather underground...like the guy who ghost wrote his books...all a bunch of radicals...in fact, that guys wife was a radical back in the day too, but due to the way the evidence was gathered they walked after trying to blow the pentagon and a bunch of radical stuff
