My father is a Korean combat vet.

The S. Korean ambassador visited his state a couple of years ago, and invited ALL Korea combat vets to a lovely banquet, free of charge, and thanked each one individually for his service.

This year, S. Korea invited ALL Korea combat vets to come back and visit for the 60th anniversary, all expenses paid. Dad has Alzheimer's, so they didn't go. But the offer was there.

Of all the foreign conflicts that American troops have fought, only South Korea - to this day, 60 years later - goes out of its way to thank, not the American government, but the (mostly) men who risked their lives for that country.

So for that reason, I say South Korea won and continues to win.
