Let's see if we can get a new page up and get the width back to normal.

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
the James bond film referred to in the article about underwater caverns off the US coast might be "Thunderball", that was filmed largely around the Bahamas and Florida and the story line was about a British nuclear missile being stolen from a Vulcan bomber and hidden in an underwater cavern. That was a film made in the 1960's when the UK'S nuclear deterrent was carried by RAF bombers, for the last 40 years the UK nuclear deterrent has been carried by Royal Navy submarines. Thunderball is apparently US Army slang for the mushroom cloud created by a nuclear explosion.

and thunderhorse is slang for ????

one thouhgt I like to get rid of:
2 weeks ago this: [link to en.rian.ru]

can we put this in the picture??
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 979825

[link to www.mi6.co.uk]

i can't find any definitive source for where the phrase Thunderball comes from, this James Bond fansite is as good as i can find. As for Thunderhorse, no luck there either, though i did see that a few years ago the oil rig was originally known as Crazy Horse, until a native american tribe put a complaint in, then BP changed the name to Thunderhorse.

Good Morning Krispy, Yes I'm Lurking, (sarcasm!)
I couldn't sleep at all last night, due to the anger
yesterday, Thank you and I will probably take you up on the offer,
I offer my apology to all I offended yesterday.
I've been a loner all my life and maybe a little sensitive.
Thanks, Rocky

The word "lurking" was not intended as sarcasm.
English is not my native language, and sometimes
I see you guys use words that sound cute .. like lurking.
In holland we say also "lurken" but it means sucking (on a straw to drink) and some other meanings.
For me it sounds like a little grey elephant that is lurking with his nose in a pond ... hahaha

So please excuse me if "lurking" is used as a sarcistic word in your language ... sorry

I know this may seem lame because I can't remember, which is driving me crazy but...There is a Clive Cussler novel about some algae that grows off the coast of Mexico due to heat dispensed from a "tortilla factory" which is actually a front for some underwater lab that released some kind of super heated water that caused all kinds of problems. I wish I could remember the name of the novel but I know for a fact the author is Clive Cussler. Sorry...

Born and reared in north GA.

Live in NJ. now.

What scared me is what I bold faced. A genetic cousin to current deseases. Who knows what horrors lay in wait for us in those muck domes.

It only takes one. And we will have no immunity defense.
 Quoting: Housedad

Housedad, do you know in Griffin Ga, University of Georgia has a thing called "Experiment Station" where they literally experiment on agriculture and insects. I grew up in that area (up in Atlanta actually, but Griffin is just 30 miles south and I had family that lived there for generations-including Doc Holiday, but that's another story for another ancestry discussion, heee) and everyone knows for years that strange things have come out of there. For a while, we even had some weird hybrid cricket thing running around. They are the ones who created the "lovebugs" of south Florida that are the most annoying creature EVER. Google them and you will see what I mean, but anyone who lives in Florida, from about Tampa south, will tell how bad those things are. They don't bite, but they swarm and when your car gets lovebug guts on it, and it bakes for more than a day, your paint will peel off when you try to clean them off.

Anyway, you aren't nuts, there is definitely experimental insects flying around and have been since the 60's. Griffin even has a street named after it, Experiment St is where the Experiment station is.

BACKUP (Just in-case) of all Krispy's Summary/Resumé's to Date! (At the time of this post)

Also this was done to make things a bit quicker for all of you's great researchers on this thread.

If you want...just create a new folder on your computer, (RIGHT CLICK, SAVE TARGET AS) to download each of the (.htm) webpage files of all of Krispy's Summary/Resumé's to Date into that new folder you created. That way you got whatever Summary/Resumé part you want to view quickly

Thanx, all done :)(I needed the instruction, tech-o-phobe you know)!

Ok, so before I go digging for all the resumes, has someone posted a complete from the start resume? If not, I will try to put one together from the start.

Let me know the page number, I am still trying to catch up from my three days of madness and I am resting on the couch today. I also did a LOT of research last night and I have made some startling discoveries. Bone chilling really and it's frightning. I want to get a grasp on the whole thing before I post a ton of links to science journals and try to break down to easily explainable language.

is it this?

Lost City

Kurt Austin, leader of the National Underwater and Marine Agency's Special Assignments Team, battles international evildoers again in the fifth installment of this excellent series. There are several parallel plots: a mysterious aviator has been found frozen in a massive glacier; a mutant seaweed is threatening to choke the world's oceans; a giant submarine is roaming the thermal vents of the deep sea area known as the Lost City; and the secretive, arms-dealing Fauchard family, run by ruthless black-widow Racine and her homicidal son, Emil, is up to no good. Also there's a mysterious 16th-century helmet, a search for the philosopher's stone and an island of filthy, mutant cannibals. Austin's love interest is lush, sensual Skye Labelle, an archeologist specializing in arms and armor ("She had a good body, but it would never make the cover of Sports Illustrated"). Kidnappings, hair's-breadth escapes, fierce battles, strange science, beautiful women and plenty of action add up to vintage Cussler. Of course, one of the secrets of the genre is to waste no time on ancillary details: "Before long, a cigar-shaped object came into view"; "Before long, they were stepping out of the cockpit onto the deck." Readers will find that, before long, they're racing through the pages as Austin and his band of merry men fight to stop the Fauchards from reaching the ultimate evildoer's goal: world domination.

Re: Something Just Went BEZERK in the Gulf of Mexico. The US Navy just sunk a French Submarine
Yeah, but it's happened to me before. Usually I can go to "view" and "reset" the page, but this time it did not reset to original setting.

After 9 and 11 and I had foolishly been saving documentation data to a file folder labeled "911." About January 2002, "they" took command of my curser which flew across my monitor, pulled up "911" and deleted the folder in front of my eyes. I rushed to the trash bin and my folder had already been deleted from my trash before I got there.

We recognize that if we click a link where they have set up to embed into your computer, there is not much us regular, non-techie users can do except keep our computers clean. I stay away from links where I don't trust the poster and keep a simple firewall and virus check. There is not much else I can do. There is one thread on glp I never click on links because I feel these "they" are looking for isp #s, which they cannot get from my posts, only if I link up.

During the 9 and 11 melee and viral internet buzz, I had a vision/flash (not a dream) of a room full of monitors on the wall scrolling threads of message boards. Nerds were sitting watching the scroll of the section assigned to them.

The 'net is a means of communication with eavesdropping. So, what's new?

And if so, have you noticed in the last week the build up of 4 and 5 Mag EQ from everywhere? And this morning, we are starting up with two 6+ Mag.
