Remember Hubble's pics of the Eagle Nebula, and the knots or globules of denser gas, called EGGs ("Evaporating Gaseous Globules")
Apparently, these are star forming regions.

Here is an unfolding knot, this time consisting of neutral atoms. Can stars be made of neutral atoms? Could these atoms be polarised when hitting our solar system's magnetic fields, thus initiating plasma production? Well, this is a divided subject, but some links I've found are researching this possibility.
Work and family commitments have kept me from researching this properly at the moment, but the holidays are coming, so should have a bit more time to get down to study.
