No, and while most people assume that the events would have to occur in the path of the eclipse, this should not be assumed because the bigger image to remember is the Triple-Eclipse sequence of all 3 Total Solar Eclipses occuring on the 1st of Av (Jewish Calendar) 3 consecutive years in a row for 2008, 2009, & 2010. This seems signficant because it was during the beginning of the month of Av whereby the 1st Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in the 500z B.C., and also whereby the 2nd Temple in Jerusalem was destroyed in 70 A.D. This would be 1,940 years following this destruction of the 2nd Temple.

Not only this, but then we witnessed a 2nd rare Triple-Eclipse sequence whereby there were 3 eclipses within just only a 30-Day period of time (Lunar 7/7/2009, Solar 7/22/2009, & Lunar 8/6/2009). The Total Solar Eclipse on 7/22/2009 was not only the "middle" eclipse in this sequence AND the middle eclipse int he 2008/2009/2010 sequence, but it was also the very longest Total Solar Eclipse in 300+ years. Marking the beginning of the month of AV on the same date 3 consecutive years in a row is incredibly rare and might not have ever happened ever before, but this coupled on together with the 2009 Triple-Eclipse sequence is just astounding to me, and then all of those numbers that come together in 2010 make it this much more intriguing for me.
