Rebellion and creation of the document

Over the course of his reign a combination of higher taxes, unsuccessful wars, and conflict with the Pope had made King John unpopular with his barons. Some barons began to conspire against him in 1209

I honestly don't care anymore about the names. Nola is fine. LOL No la(w) but one. Do no harm.

Does anybody remember or can they find the smilie that was going around at one point that gave the attributes of the nobody? I think it had a dark background with bright lettering. Key things I remember were:

Middle aged.
Italian American
Single
Something about taxes.

Have not seen it for awhile. May have gone missing with the big dumps at the beginning of the year. In searching for it today for pages it was interesting to see some older posts. Interesting because even as far back as the beginning what is talked about now was talked about then and throughout for four years.

I also found some of what I said last year about this time. Saw that I was ALL in but that my message still is the same now as it was then. The me me part has changed I hope. I just want to share how I see/feel/hear it because I know someone must see something similar. As does my man with his poems. We all are hearing some thing. By sharing do we not figure out better who is hearing who?

If someone could find that gif/smilie it would be awesome.

The younger ones were not even born when this stuff really started if there is a true source human individual. Not sure we will ever know or if we are supposed to. I am just grateful to be a part of it. Don't know about y'all but even though it still is not nice all the time. I sense a relief of some of the true hostility that was happening in the field. Somebody said the disconnect has begun. I agreed.

Re: The Illuminati was made a offer they couldn't refuse.
And I have this feeling that it would be so awesome if the nobody would be Irish, and just project power from Ireland out all the way to Russia and China. I just have this feeling that there will be a great Fergus or Son of Dunbar or McGillicuddy or something, that will be a sort of Lord of the Dance and Kookaburra type of character. Yes, I think when the nobody reads these words above, he would side with the Irish family in prison (and the family line extinguished) before any other player in this story. So in the eyes of the nobody, the King, the Barons, the Pope and all the important people, become nobody, he does not know them, if you will. The Irish family, enduring 100's of years under all three of these tyranical forms, will one day raise up something enturely new. You know, like a giant Leprechaun or some shit.
Quoting: pot o' gold nuggets? 1270722

It is important to realize that we ALL create the idea of nobodies versus somebodies. That is to say, if some baseball player comes to bat, and nobody has seen him at bat before, and let us say the bases are loaded and he swings and hits a grand slam, the next day people will say, "Some nobody did it!" ...Yeah like when the Jets beat the Pats in the Super Bowl and the headlines said "Pats Beaten by Some Dudes!". Well anyway, when will the NFL have an Irish team? It seems like a nicer journey than say China. Well, I am sure there will be no shortage of Chinese in Ireland of the future so both China and Ireland could have their NFL teams play in Ireland.

But in fact, the coolest sport, is Irish hurling [link to en.wikipedia.org] ...It is comparative to the American Native game Lacrosse which is similar to so many "stick games" globally. In hurling, you essentially are carrying an axe handle, on which the point is to balance the ball, while you run. As you may imagine, and as I have mentioned in this thread, the idea of games as combat, is key here.

Now consider how this ball and stick game evolved in the Highlands of Scotland: It became the game of golf. The Scot took the ball, and began whacking it from one point to another, on the hillsides, and perhaps they saw this as more civlized than their "Scoti" Irish ancestors? In any case, from my point of view, Hurling and Golf are but cousins, and therefore do I train in martial combat with a golf club. It seems prudent. Also this description of the two sports, hurling and golf, recommends a swap between them, yes, lets have each game swap sticks and playing fields, let the hurlers run on the golf courses and balance golf balls will settling beef by smacking their foe on the noggin. Let the golfers be confined to small square stadium event where they are bound by the playing field of referee and burecrats. The hurlers deserve to be free, and I think it would be epically momentous to form a Trans Ireland-American Stick-Game Association wherein we would form a body to create an amalgam of lacross, golf and hurling, which will not be played in dinky staidum-pit like the Romanic colluseum --NO, but on the hillsides and greens of the world's golf courses! Yes, I think the future Fergus will remember my words.

Re: The Illuminati was made a offer they couldn't refuse.
Okay back on track!

Did Robin Hood live around the time of King John?

Did they have a maypole and did they play games?

Just like the Native Americans?

As well as ballads, the legend was also transmitted by "Robin Hood games" or plays that were an important part of the late medieval and early modern May Day festivities. The first record of a Robin Hood game was in 1426 in Exeter, but the reference does not indicate how old or widespread this custom was at the time. The Robin Hood games are known to have flourished in the later 15th and 16th centuries.[19] It is commonly stated as fact that Maid Marian and a jolly friar (at least partly identifiable with Friar Tuck) entered the legend through the May Games.[20]

The early ballads link Robin Hood to identifiable real places and many are convinced that he was a real person, more or less accurately portrayed. A number of theories as to the identity of "the real Robin Hood" have their supporters. Some of these theories posit that "Robin Hood" or "Robert Hood" or the like was his actual name; others suggest that this may have been merely a nickname disguising a medieval bandit perhaps known to history under another name.[21] One historian has claimed Robin Hood was a pseudonym by which the ancient Lords of Wellow, Nottinghamshire were once known. [22] It is interesting that the village has such a strong connection with maypole celebrations, considering Robin Hood's links with the same.
Quoting: Who is John Gustosa? 1270722

Ah yes, the maypole.

You will recall that I have posted about the Maypole at Peor, and the people who danced around it versus the people who tore it down?

And we see that Robin and the Maypolers were quyte actyve in their day.

Ah, I see page 1627 forming now... Quincy Mass is such a nice town. Very merry in its own way, and yesterday was a particularly gorgeous day there, as a matter of fact. It can and will, only become merrier, and happier. As will the whole USA, imo. We are poised for good things, though there be many naysayers.

The colony, established in 1625, was officially named Mount Wollaston by the Puritan separatists, but as Morton and other non-Puritans gained influence in the area, the name Merry Mount gained common use. In 1627, Morton and others erected a Maypole and conducted a May Day Revel, inviting both colonists and natives. This was the inspiration for the Nathaniel Hawthorne short story The Maypole of Merry Mount. The Puritan Separatists at Plimouth were scandalized and made concerted efforts to repress Morton and what they considered to be his pagan leanings. Finally, in 1630, with the arrival of Governor Winthrop and 900 more Puritans to what would become Boston, the combined Puritans were able to arrest and deport Morton, and the colony of Mount Wollaston/Merrymount was officially dissolved.
 Quoting:

Ah yes! The Maypole!

Seems to be lacking its corollary?

AKA, the Native American Sweat Lodge?

AKA, Plato's Cave?

Hmm, I am remembering a key quote...

"The Christian goes into his church and prays to Jesus. The Native goes into the sweat lodge and talks to Jesus." -- Quanah Parker, Irishman, Comanche Chief and Federal Judge
