Vision Thing User ID: 106069 United States 07/04/2010 09:45 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | [link to george-eby-research.com] I was taking the magnesium glycinate for a long time, now I combined it with taurine and CoQ10 like he recommends, I thought I could tell the difference right away, that I might be absorbing it better. Really sleeping well and really relaxed. Magnesium is important for so many functions and apparently it affects you mentally. We don't get much magnesium from our food, we get a lot more calcium. Magnesium helps your brain and nervous system which includes the electrical impulses of your heart and other muscles. Last Edited by Vision Thing on 07/04/2010 09:52 AM |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1023966 Canada 07/04/2010 09:57 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I read somewhere that the best source of selenium bar none was Brazil nuts. Not crazy about them but I shave a few onto salads now. As for iodine, I didn't realize that those common elements in tap water displaced iodine but it certainly explains why I feel sick when I don't drink soda water or mineral water regularly. I thought it was a stomach acid thing but soda water has very low levels of both fluoride and chlorine. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1024880Fluor is not good but it is Ok as replacement for iodine?! I didn´t get that part. What is the recepe for cayenne T? No - Fluoride is NOT healthy for a person, and displaces iodine, which is needed for proper thyroid function. The solution is to supplement with iodine, but not to overdo it. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1024880Fluor is not good but it is Ok as replacement for iodine?! I didn´t get that part. What is the recepe for cayenne T? No no, fluoride and chlorine are both poisons. Iodine/ide helps displace them out of the body once they are in there. There may be many recipes for cayenne tea, when googled, but mine is simple (KIS). A quarter of a teaspoon of cayenne, a small to medium clove of garlic, finely chopped or pressed, all in a cup or mug. To this, I add water which has just boiled (preferably filtered, dechlorinated, de-fluoridated; or distilled). I stir and crush the ingredients against the mug with the teaspoon to squeeze the most out of the garlic. I steep the concoction for a minute, then stir a bit, then steep some more. Once the tea is just hot enough to drink, I sip away. (I sometimes add some fresh, finely chopped ginger too) Cayenne tea does not have the same pepper heat as other peppers. It may be hot on first sip, but subsides quickly. Cayenne is also great for your stomach. Google "cayenne and ulcers". It actually cures them, by some accounts. I believe it. crazycanuck User ID: 1000602 Canada 07/04/2010 10:15 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I have always eaten well and avoided junk food of all kinds. We grow lots of our own veg too. But, being in my fifties, I had that extra 30 pounds that seemed to creep on between 35 and 50, ever so slowly. I exercise every single day, but just couldn't seem to lose the weight around the middle, despite a very good diet and moderate intake. Then someone told me about vitamin D, specifically D3 - started taking it two months ago (2,000 IU per day). About a week later, I started noticing my belly fat was disappearing. About a month later, I had dropped one whole pant size and could fit into things that I hadn't been able to wear in about two years. I've gone from a large back down to a medium and today I put on a medium pair of pants and noticed that they were loose. I've been on D3 for about 2 months now and I feel GREAT. Did some more research on it and found that it helps the body metabolize fats and sugars and flush those bad boys away! I have not changed anything else in my routine or diet. D3 is DA BOMB! The 400 IU dose that's in most multivitamins is simply not enough. Don't believe me, do some research. One doctor even suggested some patients needed as much as 9,000 IU because they were so deficient. And D3 is a fat-soluble vitamin, so you eat it with the fattest meal you consume on any given day and then get outside into the natural light. Now, this is going to sound very weird, but I swear my hair is thicker and my skin tone has improved as well. To all of you out there that may be struggling, give vitamin D3 a try, at least chat to your doctor about it - it's cheap and readily available and it might just help some of you the way it has helped me! |

2healthnuts User ID: 1008618 United States 07/25/2010 11:43 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Adequate iodine levels are crucial for all aspects of health and well-being; in fact, in generations past, physicians routinely used iodine in medical practice. The typical dose was 1 gram of potassium iodide (KI), containing 770 mg of iodine, which far exceeds the current U.S. RDA of 150 mcg. Dr. Albert S. Gyorgi (1893–1986), the physician who discovered vitamin C, wrote: "When I was a medical student, iodine in the form of KI was the universal medicine. Nobody knew what it did, but it did something and did something good. We students used to sum up the situation in this little rhyme: If ye don't know where, what, and why Prescribe ye then K and I."
