I was thinking just the opposite. Sounds like OP's friends are jealous of his freedom so they put him down.
OP, you sound like you have come up with all these criticisms of them because they have been rude to you and hurt your feelings. You should probably just move on and find some different friends. They sound like they are pretty smug about what they've done with their lives and want you to feel bad about yourself because you didn't choose the same lifestyle. They think everyone should want to be just like them and they can't imagine why you don't want to be. Why they need to be defensive about their choice I don't know. Some people are just like that and you're better off staying away from them.

I have a hard time relating to your question since most people I know that got married young usually ended up getting divorced so I can't say that I envied them when I was in my 20's and partying every weekend while enjoying the company of numerous sexual partners.

You'd have to be a pretty bitter person to begrudge a couple that is truly in love with each other. That being said, if I knew a lot a people who were completely happy with every aspect of their life, I might get annoyed. Luckily for me, all my married buddies are completely miserable.

They dont like them at all. Now im not gya, but Ive grown in a metro area where attitudes are different. More accepting and ive never thought it was a big deal...

Let's see.. IIRC, according to the word of God, homosexuality is an abomination. Therefore, I do not accept that behavior, nor will I allow my children to be subjected to it...as well as alot of other things taught in schools these days.
As for you and the problem you have with folks like my family, May God Bless You. You will come face to face with the Lamb of God and you will then be judged upon your works. He holds the keys, but you have the choice.

I started this thread becuase I was pissed off about the "gossip" that all people spread. The gossip was about me. The questions were about me.

No, I broke it off with my girl about 3 years ago. I was married young, Ive always had a girlfriend.

When I broke up with her, I was really tired. Tired of living so fast. I was always on the "go". ALways doing something like a vacation, happy hour, flying somewhere...just go-go-go. When I broke up with her, some other things happened in my life that took precedence over finding someone new. So for the last 3 years, I just dont date. And Ive sort of been taking time and thinking, working through a death of a parent, working through what I really want out of life. Instead of the fast go-go-go lifestyle. Im just taking a fucking break. From everything, including sex.

But as ive done this, the only people im catching flack from are people in the group I described.....Why the hell is my sex life or lack of sex life, so fucking important to them??? like I said, I dont even bother to try and correct them anymore....let them think what they are going to think....and its this experience that has really shed light on many other attitudes this group has....see, I grew up in this group, most of the people i know are in this group... and Im really seeing them for what they are for the first time.......and they are backward, ignorant, scared of anything that is not them...
