Interesting, but not exactly true. To an extent... Kind of. Gosh, I'm getting tired.

The police aren't pushing things because their funding may be cut soon, they are hoping that it isn't because of this, so they are holding off some. But they are not allowing this to happen in the full extent. This is an expression of rage. People are pissed. They don't know what else to do. And really, their only other option is to attack the cops. So, they are letting them do this,, kind of.

Because they also cover their tails first and foremost. They are tired. They don't have a great command structure. Their funding is low, they are demoralized and a lot of the citizens they are to "protect" hate them. They don't really give a rats but if stores are looted. Insurance will cover that. SO they are doing a little management. They don't want things to get out of control, but they don't want to get hurt, and they don't want to inflame things. Plus, riots are unpredictable. Group think is interesting stuff.. I've felt it. You almost loose complete control of yourself. The group becomes one. They have to have extremely overwhelming numbers to go into a situation like that, or they might be killed. It's intense stuff when you aren't watching it on your computer. Those helmets and shields don't mean squat on the street. I've charged a hundred horse mounted cops in a group before. The group mind is a amazing thing. Plus, they don't want to extenuate the circumstances by getting caught hurting someone else. So they have their kid gloves on. Oh, it's so complicated. But this is one area I do know well. And they are not allowing people to loot because they want it to happen. It's much more complicated than that.




Yes I can feel your experience. Mine is one where the cops went home and hid. And it was therefore a party. But still, in NAmerica, ie the developed world, the tactics are getting amazingly sophisticated anticipating and preparing for all sorts of things, even what "USED TO BE" the unpredictability of a riot. Just guessing here, since yes I have been observing these what appear to be more and more managed events. Esp when I see masses of paramilitary uniforms gather. Obviously a plan is being implemented when you see that kind of organization...


That I can agree with. But this isn't organized by them. It's the media and the response that is. They push and prod yes. Oh, I should shut up on theory right now. I'm too tired. I think we agree to an extent. But this isn't what they want to happen. And those are mostly Oaklanders on the street. And the "outsiders" still live in the bay area. If I was under attack, I would want people from round rock to help me. The basis of what I was commenting on was entirely bs. They didn't want a riot. But they obviously didn't go full bore against it. I'll leave it at that for now. Hopefully I will be able to provide more insightful commentary tomorrow. I've enjoyed the discourse nonetheless.

Anyway, I am not looking for a pissing match. Just some of my insights mixed with yours. I still say the cops are no dummys. They have a plan, and mixed with bureaucracy they will methodically implement that plan. As an anarchist you have to be unpredictable, but support mass organization at the same time even when you think it too slow or corrupt. I dont know,,, people will at times be far more advanced the dogma and surprise everyone,,,, That's when it gets real....

Really though, I agree. But logistics without organization in our disjointed world is a whole other story. There has to be strong leadership in a group without leaders. Charisma and anonyimity. And even given that, you need a little luck. Facing an extremely well armed and prepared police force is no easy task for the most adept. Give away a flaw or two and you are screwed. Given the psychological preparedness through the MSM of the current situation, you are facing a tough situation to say the least. Surprise is still a vital tactic, and there was none for this night. Maybe another. Let the system unwind then KApow! Ah, but that would take a great awakening. Or would it? Have you heard of insurrectional Anarchy? It is our greatest hope, but also the most limited. Technology has tied theory up in knots.
