I get that. I knew more about sex at that age than most did growing up. My mom had me watch videos of women giving birth, left around all sorts of human body books, etc.. I got in trouble many times for using the information the wrong way I know for a fact that somebody in my daughter's class came home asking what "sex" meant, but so far my daughter hasn't. I'm waiting for her to, though. Honestly, she thinks a woman can have a baby w/out a man. She does not get the concept that you need two people to make a baby. So I don't think she knows about sex yet... or if she's heard of it, she doesn't "get" what it's all about.

puberty begins about age 10-11 in girls and boys and you need to teach them early.... or they are vulnerable to sex preditors, agressive same age kids, and all kinds of lies and manipulation...


I told my son about sex when he was 6 years old! I did not tell him alot, but it included penetration! Today is is 17 and still a virgin, and healthy. He was able to tell people "no" because he knew his choices. He has has a few aggressive girls want to "sex him up" and he wants a real relationship and feels it is worth waiting for.

Each child IS a sex, and will have sex. so teach them about it...

keeping your children from learning keeps them stupid. Knowledge is never a bad thing.

Teaching kids about sex keeps them safer than if they didnt know. Armed with that knowledge, they are less likely to be sexually abused, as they would know that the action is wrong.

Why, just what do you think you would be protecting him from? It is safer to teach kids the facts than to keep them ignorant.

I will speak to my child about sex when he is ready...he is not ready at 5 and that's it...No school is gonna teach my kid anything like that unless I approve.

I am SO glad my parents taught me anything I asked about, and that they werent too shy to hold back information that they were uncomfortable with. Because of this, I scored WELL above average on every test that I took in school.
