Quoting: Anonymous Coward 898092that would be the butoxyethanol. it dissolves certain types of plastic. From what i understand, this is what sickened the Exxon Valdez workers. Very disturbing. Fort Morgan, Alabama, on the South shore of Mobile Bay... not even on the Gulf side. He told me he just spoke with Bob about the results of water samples taken all the way down to Naples and St. Petersburg Florida which all tested positive for oil contamination. During their conversation the Corexit samples in Alabama were brought up and what was actually found was not Corexit at 13.3 parts per million, but was actually the dangerous neurotoxin pesticide 2-butoxyethanol which makes is the main ingredient of Corexit 9527A by 30 to 60% by volume. According to the Federal Government that version of Corexit was a supposedly discontinued for use in the Gulf of Mexico in May. I was also told that Bob said he was was worried because BP had just called him and threatened him. [...]" |

Wouldn't you know it? Micelles are an excellent way to deliver hydrophobic drugs, proteins, genetic material, etc. into the human body! In general, it is very difficult to deliver hydrophobic therapeutics into the body. Micelles facilitate the delivery because the therapeutic is dissolved in the "oil" phase contained in the droplet, but the droplet itself is water soluble due to the surfactant molecules on its surface. [6] Are you with me so far? The only missing ingredient here is the "therapeutic". What is it? Is it a protein? Is it a DNA fragment? Is it some type of drug? What is its intended purpose? Here's your answer: The Gulf Blue Plague is Evolving - Part II: Corexit + Bacteria = Mutated Viruses Thread: Gulf Blue Plague: COREXIT + BACTERIA = MUTATED VIRUSES *now confirmed* The bacteriophages (viral infected bacterium) are super-charged by the dispersal chemicals because they're mutagenic chemicals. |
