uhhhh buddy its 7 processors in PS3 and 3 in 360

The 360 does a better job of managing memory however, its OS footprint is smaller than PS3

But come on, why would people continue to buy 360 when it has a 50% failure rate, there's so many repair videos on youtube for 360 because they fail so much.


Actually the PS3 has an 8 core processor. The first processor is the one that manages the other 7 and manages the memory.

The problem with this is that they aren't 7 fully functioning processors. So they aren't fully programmable. They are limited to specific tasks and when something falls outside of range of tasks these processors are capable it must fall on the 8th.

It's actually very complex. and only provides about a 50% improvement over the xbox 360s 3 fully functioning, fully programmable processors at about 5 times the cost.

The ps3 processor has been a big flop for sony but by the time they figured out it wasn't going to work like they thought they had already invested over a billion dollars in designing it so they kept it.

That being said XBOX with their failure rate is reason enough for me to buy a PS3
