Quoting: Anonymous Coward 7402371 Internet Tough guys saying "If everyone in the US would carry concealed weapns we wouldn't have shis this.. Cops would know their place"(thick Texan accent)... Wheheheeeeehe ROFL In your face go ahead wear your concealed weapons... Live by the guy Die by the gun.. Guntards.. living in an alternate reality.. Ah yes! Another trained monkey. Didn't an area of the Netherlands have a massacre lately? Just think how many of those innocent children, let alone adults, may have been saved if only there weren't such draconian gun ownership laws imposed on the citizens. |

If you are, according to the listing of your post, you don't have much choice anyway, do you? Spoken like a good little liberal ninny "Eat" and that probably makes you a model citizen. What a guy! Since when does local law restrain your personal preference? Sure it limits his choice to carry but obviously you do not understand what drives a discussion. Incredibly stupid post to say the least... eh? |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 11352804 United States 02/25/2012 06:00 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Yeah... we should make sure that ONLY cops and military possess 100% of the means of coercive force. We don't have enough of a police state yet. And dangerous criminals are being put at risk by armed citizens. we really don't want that, either. But most of all, we want to make sure that fans of helpless law-abiding citizens (like yourself) are happy. |

If I have a gun as a civilian and another civilian is acting strange and appearing to draw he weapon then his mistake would be not to shoot me dead first, cause I'm blowing him away..... Now everyone knows cops have guns and are itching to use it.... you have to pick your battles. Sounds like this guy picked poorly. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 984012RE-READ THE THREAD!!!! Attorney Ross Goodman represents Scott's family. He says Scott never pulled a gun and was not acting in a threatening way toward officers. He says other witnesses will back that up. Some comments on 8NewsNOW.com from people who claim to have witnessed the shooting agree with Goodman. One person wrote, "I saw the whole thing go down from start to finish, and the cops were trigger happy. The guy never had a chance." "I was there, and I never saw this guy do anything with his gun," another person wrote. "The police started shooting immediately after ‘drop it' was yelled." he was told to get on the ground and he did not comply 'Comply' or you will die. Fuck man no wonder I have never been, or will ever go to the States. |

Public policy and law are two different things. That's why we have jury trials....When push comes to shove, I'd rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1127413 I think they should be disarmed. I could not agree more... I mean they are supposed to be protecting and serving, and arresting people not delivering street justice to those they deem guilty! Someone needs to stop them and soon! This is old, last year, but its become obvious over the past couple years that our police force is out of control with power. Something has changed in thier training, when we figure out what that change was, we might have a fighting chance, until then, we will continue to be at the mercy of evil power hungry pissed off men that think the people they are protecting are all the enemey, until a judge says otherwise, not that they are willing to let a judge pass sentence before they administer thier own justice! Heaven help us all! Honest people don't become police ... any criminal knows that |

Anonymous Astrophysicist User ID: 1391681 United States 02/25/2012 08:52 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | good old "conceal it and they will carry you away". Quoting: Anonymous Coward 11341954 cant believe the morans didn't see this coming. They never would have made it out of their holsters if they drew on me like that. I practice quick draw and neck shots as often as possible. The second amendment is clear on the citizens right to keep and bear arms. A citizen has the right to resist an illegal arrest ,or to defend themselves against illegal police aggression. This was clearly illegal police aggression, and the police can say whatever they want but a camera doesn't lie. If you make it a me or you situation, I'm going to make it you and let a jury decide my guilt or innocence. The supreme court of the United States has repeatedly ruled that citizens have the right to resist an unlawful arrest or to defend themselves against illegal aggression by police officers, using whatever force is made necessary. I am not suggesting people guilty of criminal activity or observed in the act of criminal activity, or who have lawfully signed warrants against them shoot police, or even draw on them, but when your life or liberty is unlawfully threatened, DEFEND YOURSELF for Christs sake, and demand a jury trial. A cop is just another criminal once he crosses that line. Don't run, drop your firearm and turn yourself into the sheriff. Let a jury decide. Juries are made up of citizens, the vast majority of which have either been abused by the police themselves or know someone they love who has. Since the police are always armed and quick to use deadly force, the choices of self defense are limited(see above video). A police departments or city councils public policy does not trump the supreme court. My guess is the shock wave would have knocked the other two unconscious. I have been the victim of police and criminal injustice many times in my life, don't try to convince me I am wrong. The line between right and wrong here is clearly defined, there is no gray area involved. |
