Dont know if any one knows but..ROCKVILL GAITHERSBURG MD HAD A 3.6 EARTHQUAKE AT 5 AM..THIS MORNING

this is part my home town...my father didnt feel it he said he was sleeping but his friends did...they said not a tremmor a eq

Yea, it woke me up around 5 a.m. this morning. Bastard made me consume 1 more cup of coffee. It was a 3.6, 5 km underground, 2 km SE from Germantown, MD>

I cant believe you felt it all the way there...did you feel a tremmor or the quake??

I have no idea man, was I half asleep. What exactly is the difference? I understand there were two earthquakes.

I live in Gaithersburg, MD. I was asleep and never heard a thing. Didn't know anything about it til I got to work. EVERYBODY was talking about it. Scared the crap out of everyone. We are about 20 mins north of Washington, DC. Everybody thought we were getting bombed. Things were shaking 30 miles north of here. Can't believe I slept thru the whole thing. So did my kids.

I don't know if there are any substantial damage, but damn, I've lived here my whole life and never experienced an earthquake - EVER.

Yes, there was two, but I don't even know when the second one was. I don't think they were too bad, but any in this area is just unheard of.

Seriously? Seems like unusual crap is happening all over the world. Look at the freaking sink holes!!! I mean, has anyone ever seen anything like that? It's just like in the movies where weird shit happens that NO ONE believes would EVER happen in real life.

I think if I had woken up, my first thought would have been if it was the Gulf blowing up. Cuz everybody is saying once it blows, it could take half of the US with it.

Heck, is there anywhere safe to live on this planet? Alaska? Canada?

My father slept threw it as well...wow... had little tremmors in Beltsville Md. before your talkin many years ogo...Ist i ever heard of a quake in gaithersburg md /rockville and now i here in va as well
