The umpire in sports, the Supreme Cout in matters of law, why then the blind spot when it comes to faith?

Jesus established a leader beginning with Peter, Christ's
authority on earth. Peter was the first Pope. Can't get
around this fact and why (not to be mean), the reason one
can say Protestants are spiritually immature.

They get it...when it comes to the secular but it's sad, on
what is more important they see no need.

Actually it is the other way around. People correctly divine that the Abrahamic religions are bogus because of their appeal to religious authority and to written scripture.

Where people go astray is in believing that written law, and its interpretation by judges and lawyers is a reasonable way to determine what should be done about crime and civil disagreements.

Another approach is to empower juries to resolve disputes based upon the facts presented by witnesses, without the intervention of written law.

Such juries of citizens would do a better job if they knew that their findings were respected more than a bunch of written rules, which are mostly honored by fining loopholes around them.

Umpires have no role in sports comparable to the legal professionals and religious authorities, because they make no claim that their authority comes from anything beyond a casual agreement to follow the rules in order to enjoy the game.

I think people should have the freedom to believe as they choose as long as they donít use it as a means to legislate their beliefs creating laws that affect my personal freedoms.
