Though Barack Obama’s administration cancelled the previous Bush administration plan

for an anti-missile system in Poland and the Czech Republic

a new plan to protect southern Europe is going ahead

in a three phase implementation, says the reports.


Central to the plan will be a fleet of

38 US navy Aegis-class destroyers and cruisers

with radar systems placed in Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey
and Israel.
