Praying for a completel and total, swift and speedy recovery... It IS possible... I have a friend who fell 100 feet from rocks in the Arizona desert.. she broke quite a few bones, but you'd never know it to see her today and she walks around just fine... the power of prayer... |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1033358 United States 08/03/2010 06:26 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Ok. I'm sorry this girl got hurt. Really I am. But does anyone else think that this is why we are naturally afraid of falling? That it causes injury and pain? That maybe, just maybe, doing stupid things like free falling from a dangerous height is well, against nature and possibly....DANGEROUS? Having been a working adult and realizing how inherently lazy people are it really suprises me that we don't have more of these accidents. I thank God and the doctors for this girl's recovery, yet I still would like to slap the parents for thier negligence in allowing the child to participate in such a dangerous stupid thing. |

Quoting: Anonymous Coward 925775I guess. This was not a carnival. It is a permanent family run business. The owner was practically in tears during the interview. The state had inspected and approved the netting back in May. We all breathe the same air. .-.. --- ...- . / .- .-.. .-.. |

I was there less than two weeks ago and i would not let my kids ride on any of there rides! I hope she makes it, but if you r dumb to ride this ride and many like it then this will keep happening. Rides 1st off have to be safe, even with this ride passing inspection it only take one small thing to make it not work. it aether failed to work or someone failed to push a button/lever. This may make me look bad in some eyes but were is the commen cents of people to not do things that can kill you. parents should be held libel for this also! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 391217 United States 08/03/2010 07:06 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | amusement rides are only as safe as the pot smoking crack addicts who operate them. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 925775The park is on the hook for their dipshit operator but the ride designers are the ones that are going to end up coughing up the majority of the damages. No ride should be designed to allow something like this from happening. The good doctor was right; this is 2010 not 1980! Liability damages have been around long enough to thwart this dangerously poor engineering from ever seeing a market place. With a name like Terminal Velocity, you would think they would have thought of something like this. I am disgusted! I am also disgusted that anyone would imply that the parents were negligent in any way. It is every parents nightmare that a ride that they expect to be safe is not. This could have been a consenting adult and the insane negligence would be the same. |

Teagan Marti suffered brain, spine, pelvis and internal injuries when nets and air bags that were supposed to catch her were not raised in 2010. She was paralyzed initially but can now walk with a walker. Sheen wired $10,000 to the family in February after a family friend helped contact Sheen for help.
