What is happening to me? Kinda freaking out, hope someone has an idea of what this might be
Hi Guys,

Yesterday, I started feeling weird. It's really hard to describe. I feel like I'm going to faint, but for an extended period of time. Also, the right side of my face and my right arm are feeling numb. It kind of feels like I'm walking around in a dream. Everything around me seems to be going in slow motion. Very strange feeling.

It's really disturbing, because I can't drive. I can't judge how fast the other cars are going, etc. It's really starting to freak me out because I have to drive a fair distance to get to work. I've also noticed that my motor functions are suffering as well. I felt like I had to remind myself how to use my fork when I was eating lunch. And there's a bit of a tremble in my hand.

I'm not crazy or anything like that :D I've been fairly healthy up until now. I don't do drugs or drink, etc. I do smoke cigarettes, but that's about it and I've been smoking for over 20 years w/o this effect.

I do suffer from migraines, but I have always had a headache when symptoms appear, and I have never had symptoms like this over a prolonged period of time. I'm going on my second day with this.

Anybody have any clues as to what might be going on? I would go to the doctor, but I'm between insurance right now. Got canned from a job and waiting until my new insurance is approved.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Poor people do poor people things, and rich people do rich people things.

You cannot legislate the poor into prosperity by legislating the wealthy out of prosperity.

What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving.

The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else.

When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is the beginning of the end of any nation.

You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it!

when you rob Paul to give to Peter ... ... ... you will always get Peters support!

God has already paid the price. By faith we are healed. Ask and it shall be given. We are healed by His many stripes! Just have faith. I am praying for you also. Be blessed.

That's what I was wondering since I read that migraines can cause strokes. I guess I should do some research on strokes then.

How long do the effects of a stroke last? Is this feeling the actual stroke or the after effects? Do they last for a few hours? I'm so confused by this.

Thank you for your reply.

I did, last night. This thing freaked me out so much that I just stopped because I wanted to make sure I wasn't making it worse.

You need to go to the emergency room immediately. Don't wait. This is serious. Could possibly be a stroke, or an aneurysm. Don't take the time to research this - Just go

For sure you have had a TIA and possibly a stroke. While I hate doctors, they do have a purpose and there is a drug that will halt the more damaging effects of a stroke if administered in time. Go to the Doc or ER.

Seriously, go to the ER asap. These definitely sound like stroke symptoms. The longer you wait the more potential damage could be done. Getting treatment as soon as possible can minimize damage. A stroke is a cutoff of blood supply to parts of the brain due to blockage or breakage of a blood vessel. Those brain cells will die.

My mother had a severe stroke and never fully recovered. It affected her speech and he motor skills. She could barely talk or walk after it. Get checked out immediately and get off this freaking forum!

Also, quit worrying about the damn insurance. A hospital bill is worth you saving your life or motor skills. It's only money, and your life is more important.

Please go to the ER. You asked how long the affects of a stroke last.....they don't go away without therapy or maybe never if you don't get immediate medical treatment. This isn't something to screw around about. Just pay off the ER bill $20 a month for the rest of your life. It would be worth it.

Brief is on point with his assessment. Those are the same symptoms of a TIA. My father experienced it and all those symptoms last year in addition to needing to concentrate on articulating his words.

Take aspirin: one per day. BC powder is best as it goes quickly into the bloodstream, and get your arse to a doctor or clinic.
