The sun would rise and set at the same place on a round earth that rotates before a stationary light source (aka: the sun), but that's not what we see.

Earth is flat, and to believe contrary to the truth is the reason why we have cancers, wars, famine...

The sun does not rise. It does not set. Our view of the heavens changes. Sometimes the sun is in that view, sometimes it is not. The periods of time when the sun is within ones view is that person's day. When it is not in view, that person experiences night.

The cause of the changing view is a spherical earth spinning on it's axis.
