Before Wikileaks released the Afghanistan War Files, They were offered up to the Whitehouse for review. The whitehouse declines to review the files prior to release, knowing these files contained names of operatives and assets.

The whitehouse let Wikileaks release the files as is.

He rejected allegations that the group's publication of leaked U.S. government documents was a threat to America's national security or put lives at risk.

"For this reason, we conveyed a request to the White House prior to the publication, asking that the International Security Assistance Force provide us with reviewers," Schmitt said. "That request remains open. However, the Pentagon has stated that it is not interested in 'harm minimization' and has not contacted us, directly, or indirectly to discuss this offer."

The release of these files have further demoralize the war effort in Afghanistan and the Whitehouse allowed it to happen.

Obama is changing the direction of this countries war efforts and the release of these documents are part of that plan.

Way to go.

"Beginning first thing Monday the US government will begin operating on a policy of actual honesty and transparency thereby removing any need for Wikileaks or other whistleblowers which have lately caused such consternation within the government. In connection with these timed releases the persons affected are being asked to surrender their passports and remain available for questioning."
