The apartment below me has been empty for....months.

I'd really really like some great neighbors down there- people I'm sympatico with.

Any chance of that happening? If so, when...?

and in about two months people might be moving in there
they are nice and have the same interests as you, get to know them, but don't become friends. it won't work.
