i liked it a lot at first, but it got old kinda quick for me.

seems like it all just comes down to "who has better gear" - I'd like to understand how the simulation really works.

I F'IN LOVE THAT SHOW
Goodbye, halcyon days...

There is a theory which states that if ever anyone discovers exactly what the Universe is for and why it is here, it will instantly disappear and be replaced by something even more bizarre and inexplicable.

There is another theory mentioned, which states that this has already happened.

The one that looked good...with the Seals vs. somebody??

Probably should had Delta instead of the Seals...maybe?

Spetsnaz took on Green Berets and won . Now all they have to do is run the simulation of Spetsnaz vs. Seals ,which they will probably do at the end of the season.

that show is a joke. Spetsnaz won because they thought their stupid knife is the best weapon ever. I can't stand the bs they put on there.

when its controlled by human input. That little knife would never kill a soldier decked out in armor. would have to be one lucky shot.

Well if it had gone the other way i could say the same thing. And actually blades are better at puncturing vests than bullets, so i wouldn't say "never" Oh and by saying "when its controlled by human input" you are in effect saying that all computer data based conclusion are null and void ..

But essentially I would guess the sim is rather simplistic - I betcha it resembles how D&D dice battles are resolved (the fact they named their software company "slytheryn" should tell you something)

Plug in some numbers for range, power, speed. Account for critical strikes and "luck" and voila - a fight sim!

Again, hard to know for sure if its meaningful.

or maybe I'm just bitter 'cause the viking lost.

that knife would never puncture the plate. Thats the point. You'd have to hit them in the neck which is easier said than done.

Yes, when data is flawed the conclusions are flawed. If i put in 4 when i meant 2 and get 6 instead of 4, something has gone wrong.

still, its a small moving target. and the face wouldn't be a killing blow in most cases.

im am going to have to disagree.A knife blade taken to the face at 35-40 mph would be lethal.

meh, would just bounce off the cheek bones. would leave a nasty mark tho. you'd have to hit them in the centerline of the face to kill them.

so you are saying that direct hit by a sharp object at 35-40 mph would "bounce" off the bone? i would tend to think it would shear right into it.

Some of the match ups are bad...Spartan Vs Ninja don't make sense....one is a battlefield fighter and the other is more of a spy...Spartan Vs Samurai makes more sense....also matching up Stone age warrior with a iron age one is stupid...
