...don't believe the hype!...having said that, i worked as a security engineer installing covert cctv cameras in banks/government buildings/shops/supermarkets etc...and you would be surprised just how tiny these cameras are now...as an american, how sure can you be that that streetlight/car/electricity pylon/telephone junction box/US mailbox/electricity substation/cable tv termination box, etc doesn't have a tiny (and i mean, tiny) covert camera in it??...interestingly, a fair proportion of the security sensor/cctv hardware that i used to install was manafactured and assembled in........Israel.......i kid you not!

cctv on every street corner is an extreme exaggeration. Most of the cctv is based around city centres and anywhere where crime is a problem. London is full CCTV I admit, but it's all good if you're doing no wrong..

TBH it actually works...the british version of police camera action will show you that.
