MUSLIM CHILD BRIDES

I'm no fan of islam, but even I have difficulty believing that the picture is of actual brides.

Besides, what would those grown men want to marry those scrawny (although cute) kids for? I'm not buying it.

There's enough wrong with islam that is real, without (what I believe to be) fake pictures like that.

You know they don't have sex right? They don't even live together until the girl is older. It's about security and economics in a culture and status lacking wealth. In a place where men bring home the bacon, and children are a meal ticket, woman are a commodity and guaranteeing yourself one make sense regardless of how long you will wait for a child.

I'm not condoning it but the cause of such things runs far deeper than religion.
