In the US many (white) taxis won't stop if you're black. Should we take whatever self righteous indignation you're trying to apply to muslims, and apply to all of white america as well?

I don't think the majority of Muslims have a brain. They are conditioned clones raised on dogma.

There is nothing in Islam to make it tasteful.

Where is the Anti Discrimination organisations? How come they aren't sueing the cab companies on behalf of those with disabilities (the blind person with the guide dog)like they do in other facets of society who intrude on people with disabilities rights?
Or do they put the Muslims religious rights above the disabled rights?
If so, Muslims shouldn't be in professions that deal with a cross section of society who don't practice their faith.
It only ever causes conflict and grief and is a pain in the arse to those who have to deal with them.
Reminds me of the Muslims who refused to scan and handle alcohol and pig products in the supermarkets. It's like, fuck off then and find a job in a back room somewhere where they don't have to deal with people. And leave the customer service type jobs to those who don't have any predjudices.

How about this. Muslims don't want to be in a car with a dog. The law says they have to take guide dogs. Therefore, Muslims should not take jobs as taxi drivers, because they might be forced to be in a car with a dog. Similarly, Muslims should not take a job in a pet shop, or a dog grooming service, or a veterinary hospital.

We cannot tell what religion someone is by the sound of their taxi's engine.

This has happened to me many times in the UK. I now don't use a guide dog, it's too much hassle.

I am a female taxi owner/driver and I allow dogs in the car (first one was a distressed owner who said his dog had collapsed in the street and he couldn't carry him as he was too big - when I turned up it was obvious poor thing had suffered a heart attack)
At the talk prior to being given my Hackney badge we were told we must allow guide dogs in the car but from the other side of the coin my daughter has severe allergies and has been hospitalised after being in a house where their cat had died approx. one year previously.
Blindness is a disability but anaphalaxis (sp?) is also a disability that can claim a person's life in a matter of minutes.
I really don't think this is so much a muslim thing but taxi driver's not wanting their car messed up.
On a side note, we have a blind man who lives in the town and not one taxi driver will take him as he is abusive and aggressive
