The number one thing that the US could have done to curb the exportation of jobs was to implement universal, government-funded healthcare.

Our govt hates us, though. They are doing scratch and sniff tests on the fish from the gulf and saying that they are safe to eat. They don't regulate gmo foods, they allow corps to put carbon monoxide on meats to keep them "pink", poisonous plastics and cosmetics, aspartame is safe, high fructose corn syrup in almost EVERYTHING, growth hormones, fluoride, flu vaccines...there is so much! If our govt was looking out for us instead of corps we'd probably be a much healthier society and healthcare wouldn't be in such demand.

A suspicious person might come to the conclusion that someone wants to kill us all. Or at least keep us very sick so that they have even more power over us.

Before the elections I was talking about how we allowed ourselves to turn a blind eye to corporations selling out our values to go and do businesses with countries that force us to compete with slave wages, an how this selling out of our values has evolved to those very corporations now having lobied in taking over this nation to turn us into slaves. Wages aren't the major expense in India, it's telecom. It costs big $$$$ to run T1's and E1's to India. Then again they've gotten so much cheaper over the years, I still remember paying in excess of $100k a month for an E1 from Miami to but fuck India.
