Woodwork, metal, car repair, plumbing and I'm sure there are others, that should be made mandatory for males and females to take at lease two of these classes. I know I would have loved too, instead of just home economics.

So, you want to be taught but you don't want to learn?
You'd be amazed at the things that were taught in schools but only a few paid attention. Schools don't have time to teach anything to students except how to learn. You start to do that when your mind finds itself capable of processing some of what we should've picked up in school. What I think should be taught in school is as little as possible other than critical thinking skills. The rest you learn as you go.
