I've seen some weird lights , I thought it was moon reflection off clouds.

Probably chavs burning cars.

Loads of chem was sprayed earlier this evening (7pm ish) in South West UK. Most I've seen for a long time.

Nothing on the MetOffice Radar apart from light showers, Im in South Manchester (right in the hills) and its cloudy at the moment to see anything towards the City direction, but I'll keep a eye/ear out.

saw a ball of light the other day, posted about it on glp, also i 'think' i saw another one last night but it went behind cloud.. so not sure about that one.

We had a cloudburst of rain in the Northwich area around 9pm

Dude you see lightning flashes and dont hear thunder because its far away and the sound doesn't get to you.
But the light does because its so fast.

I'd go with Fireworks aswell, Cloud-base is about 3000ft (I know the flight-levelling into MAN and Kinder Scout being at just over 2000ft gives the estimate.)

Lack of any convection, the Gay-Pride Festival being on, and fact you saw the flashes consistently also leads up to the Fireworks being the likely cause. Always good for a heads-up however.
