OP, I have a question for you. I haven't read the whole thread but have read more than half of it so excuse me if it has already been answered.
What percentage of Muslims do you think are extremists that do these horrible things? Is it just the extremists that run the governments or do you think it is larger than 50% of all Muslims that actively participate in these atrocities?
Actually, anyone else is welcome to answer also. It doesn't have to be proven fact - opinion is also welcome but please do state whether opinion or fact.
When you have a religion that worships a child marrying pedophile as the leader, allows marriage and sex to nine year old girls, murders anyone who leaves the faith, kills the non-believers and those who oppose the advancement of the religion, does whatever it takes to ensure the whole planet follows ITS LAW(sharia), encourages honor killings, stones women to death for being RAPED, leads young to martyrdom to become suicide bombers to kill the infidels...then something is fucked up.
You dont hear muslims in general take a stand and condemn
these kind of atrocities.
Hence, silence means or can be interpreted that they accept the
inherent violence and intolerance in islam.

It may be that the extremists have instilled such fear in the people that they are afraid to speak out against it much like the Germans did during Hitler's reign. Tacit consent is not without guilt. I use to think that it was just the male Muslims committing these atrocities but now and then you get the female widow as the suicide bomber. The hate does seem to be ingrained deeply in the society. But then again I have met several Iranian Muslims who were peaceful and loving people. This religion hasn't always been this extreme. When do you think it changed and how? Do you think if the extremists regimes were eliminated that the people would still follow violence and intolerance in Islam?
