I was sharing a childhood experience I had with my mother and would like to share it with you.

I used to go fishing with my mother down at our large beaver pond.

A number of times we had some interesting experiences with the beaver there.

We had a flat bottomed old boat that we would fish from.

The beaver were never upset with our presence.

At least on three occasions up to six beavers would circle our boat and swim around it.

In unison they would slap their tails and go under and surface all at the same time.

They repeated this several times up to maybe four times and then swim away.

Mom and I always felt honored to see this.

One time I stood at the end of our dock in the evening by the ponds edge.

The moon was shining on the water.

My boyfriend had passed away in a car accident and I was in mourning.

Some thirty feet out in the shine of the moon the beavers formed their circle and did what my mother and I now termed their "Beaver Ballet."

It gladdened my heart so to see this again now at the age of 16.
