a large meteorite streaked right through my line of sight over the water towards charleston then exploded in a flash of light and an instantaneous sonic boom (weird physics). i slid to the front of the chair and realized sometime later my jaw was still dropped, mouth open, eyes wide. i’ve been reading about them this morning. they are once a year events. this’ll make the news.
