No. It is about who built your car. Was it Joe in Detroit or I cannot pronounce his name in a former communist country? Enlighten me, what are the percentages of a ford vs a honda as it relates to manufactured parts and assembly in the US. Don't get me wrong I love the USA, but costs have to be reduced, if they are not then no jobs would exist. Would you prefer 100% of the vehicle be manufactured and assembled in the US simply on principle? Who could afford it? Just ask North Korea how it works for them and their Juche ideology. I'll save you the google time...it doesn't work. You simply do not get how America worked do you? People could afford the cars Detroit cranked out because all companies indirectly were supported by the auto industry in some way form or fashion. Why do you think that all workers from the past retired so well. What kind of retirement will you receive??? Why dont you ask japan germany or others how you will retire. Yhe USA already offered a retirement. |

Except for Corvettes and Cadilacs would be the exception. The new Camaro looks like shit. I switched to Mustang. 97 Camaro SS's were the last decent Camaros, still sent out to SLP. 98+ headlights look like shit. |

People have a bad image of detroit, and for good reason. No city has ever fallen from grace and suffered like detroit. There are many good people who live there, and i find it sad that only the bad make the news. So, its not thugs burning houses its wind/powerline fires. Its been dry as hell here this summer...tinder box. |

WHAT'S NOT TO LOVE?! _ Which is all just rediculous. Why are there no truly viable electric cars being mass produced? If I had the funds, I could make an electric car that - costs less than $20,000 to the consumer has all the comforts of today's cars gets 150+ mile per charge is MORE reliable than todays gasoline cars American car companies should have been a pioneering leader in this area. Instead they got stubborn, greedy, and have failed thus far. Its 2010! The world deserves and needs all-electric automobiles. Its not like you wouldnt be able to still buy gasoline cars if you wanted. |

NO. I am about to call you a shill. unions protected the people. That is why all auto workers retired so well. This could have continued if the USA did not let imports in and collect duties on each car. Yes imports would be cheaper if there were no USA dries on imports for each each car. Do you see why this happened now? The glove is getting money off of the imports and never did off of Detroit produced vehicles. |
