Fishersofmen User ID: 723403 United States 09/09/2010 04:40 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | most people will die most people need drugs, med's to stay alive people addicted will freak, die people addicted to cig's and alcohol will freak, die people addicted to having their belly full constantly, running around 30 lbs or more overweight will freak the first week they start getting hungry, and will be killing each other over food and water people plugged in...those who can't live 3 minutes without phones, ipods, music, comupters, internet, games, tv, newspapers etc, heads will explode from lack of stimulation and they'll be so ornary and crazed they'll kill each other in fits of frenzy and depression and withdrawl. that'll leave very few people alive after about 3 months. If you are like me and need synthroid to stay alive, I don't know what else to do, but take 10 pills a month and freeze them, so if SHTF you will have a stockpile you can live on till hopefully things reboot... the end of the world happens, nuclear war or emp or whatever, stay in your homes if you have food and water, and stay away from towns. Gaurd yours with a gun, and pray that God will see you through it. Once your supplies are gone...... either gotta find people who will join and farm and commune with you, or your done.... I don't 'think' this will happen though. Hope not. The Lord is good. |

You have to siphon( that's what i do) or slowly pour the primary into you secondary...and yes it will essentially be the same type of yeast as far as alcohol tolerance etc...but you can change it quite a bit by using different grain and hops...do you mash? Ive been using the same yeasts( 3 strains ) for at least 4 years now |

If you were a farmer, you would already know how to do this; so, my question is whose livestock do you plan to take? I'm really not thaT WORRIED ABOUT IT THOUGH, BECAUSE YOU MENTION DRINKING FROM STREAMS and rivers, but don't mention purification systems. you'll be gone soon. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1078889. If you actually read the OP, you would have seen it said I ordered a book on butchering livestock AND game, it has instructions for both, but I plan on using it for any game I can hunt down. As for water, I have purification systems, if you had read through the other posts you would have seen that too. Plus, for the most part, fast moving streams are safe to drink from, might get a little sick, but very rarely anything serious. Anonymous Coward User ID: 1067995 United States 09/09/2010 05:38 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | I"m starting to print out and compile my own survival manual. I"m printing out articles on how to make soap, how to build and start a fire with a hand drill, what kinds of plants are edible, which snakes and spiders are poisonous. What kind of antibiotics to use for what ailments, how to make a water filter, how to build a trap for hunting, how to can and dry foods, all kinds of things that I"m going to need to know. When the shit hits the fan, you won't be able to go down to the store and buy these books, or look it up on google.
