DARPA has been trying to crawl inside the minds of soldiers for a while now, but a new ultrasound technology could let them get deeper inside than ever. Working under a DARPA grant, a researcher at Arizona State is developing transcranial pulsed ultrasound technology that could be implanted in troops’ battle helmets, allowing soldiers to manipulate brain functions to boost alertness, relieve stress, or even reduce the effects of traumatic brain injury. If we were not attempting to fight all these illegal wars, or troops would not even need such things. The mind control is needed to produce amnesia to protect the troop's memories so that he doesn't overload and burn out do to guilty over doing things he knows are total bullshit and fully illegal and immoral. Most Mind Control is more about producing amnesia after being conned into doing something you just knew damned good and well you shouldn't have been doing. Coming to a brain near you.. VERY NEAR... soon. |

VERY NEAR... soon. even under the best of circumstances, with the military involved , with the history of what has been done to soldiers in the name of research i cannot envision a good outcome with this :-( in the best of scenarios, what if one of these devices was to simply malfunction? In the darker of my thoughts i can see these being used exactly as described, as tools to dehumanize troops to the point of accepting any potential orders. "ya just gotta hear this tune, here put this helmet on." i've read about similar experiments but was honestly surprised to see the suggestion of making them as ubiquitous as a helmet... that is an incredible amount of technology to be placing a tremendous amount of trust in- on any level.
