When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... Author unknown... |

I would be so sad to lose him and my daughter would be devastated. He has skin problems and has to go on allergy meds each summer and constant ear infections. He costs me a fortune. I'm so sorry. |

I have witnessed similarly in a different breed long ago when I was younger and it is not easy. It would be no easier now. The only thing I can give as consolation is that she will live again, that is how it works and I hope she can find her way back to you. I have a cat that did, absolutely the same soul. Be open to the idea. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 755075 I too know how hard it is for us conspiracy nuts and we get a special joy from these ones who show unconditional love so beautifully and enrich our lives. ![]() I am so sorry to hear of your loss. This morning I too put down my beautiful baby boy, Bubba. He was 1. A wonderful active pug who brought us so much joy in 1 year. He had pde too. The vet hospital wanted the same money for tests but we opted for blood work and meds to keep him comfy as I had researched the fatal disease and knew without MRI or any other tests that he had it. I can't stand the pain from this loss so I know how you feel. Remember always that she knew how much you loved her and that you shortened her pain and suffering by making the hardest decision to put her down. Take care of you. And regain the strength to be a loving mom to another great doggy one day soon. |
