I pray a lot, God has always been listening and almost always has also replied to me, one way or the other. Quoting: CarlosSelf-delusion is a psychological condition. |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 1090333 United States 09/24/2010 08:12 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is very weird. I take my family to church every Sunday. I don't just believe in God, I've been in constant "contact" with God daily, for as long as I can remember. I pray a lot, God has always been listening and almost always has also replied to me, one way or the other. Quoting: CarlosBut now, since about 2 weeks, no contact. In the church, at home, in bed, at work, wherever and whenever I try to pray, I feel like there is this wall above my head, which prevents the communication. No message goes through. I don't feel that there's anyone there. Before I also always knew that no matter what happens, it happens for a reason. I had no worries or no stress, since I knew God was with me always. I knew I was on a mission from him, had things to do, things to achieve. Also that is now gone. Nothing. I don't feel that I'm guided anymore. I don't feel that I'm expected to do something. Actually I have fealt this once before, but that was not nearly as strong. That was the Sunday service right after the Haiti earthquake. Then I also had the feeling that God was actually busy, he wasn't with us in the church. But back then it was different, he was still up there, but just had better things to do. Now, there simply is nothing. It's like he retired or something. I haven't lost my faith, I still belive in God as much as I always have, but I just don't hear him, or feel him anymore. His gone. This makes me very scared. Even while I'm writing this I'm praying, trying to make contact. But nothing. What's happening? Where is he? Is it just me, or has someone else noticed the same thing? I'm really lost at the moment. Don't know what to do. Don't know what's happening. Don't know why this is happening. If anyone has an idea, please help. Its part of your trial in life, God Is allways there, we are the ones who go astray in one way or the other. Fast a few days. |

Wingedlion User ID: 1108550 United States 09/24/2010 08:19 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | When our faith is being tested, it always seems the same way...that we have lost all sense of God's prescience. It is a part of spiritual growth, and you will go no further in your Christian walk until you "pass the test" which of course is "Will you trust God at His word to be there, and to always work all things for our good when you cannot "feel" His prescence?" The testing of our faith, the scripture tells us, is more precious than gold, in God's sight.(James 1:2-5; I Pet.1:7) It's another step in growth, "count it all a joy" because a more perfect work of Grace is being wrought in your life. "Glory is what happens when faith overcomes adversity." |

When I was much younger I also used to be an atheist, I just knew all the religious people were complete morans. But then it changed. Now I know so much more. I've never heard of this "half an hour of silence in heaven", is that really in the revelations? |

I'm no saint, I also do bad things, but on average I try to do good. I'm not even that religious, I just believe in God. But like said, I understand why people make fun of it. They do it because they just don't know any better. |

Quoting: Lion HoundWell, I'm not sure. I always thought the seven seals wouldn't be that clearly visible, they could even be just things which we have witnessed in our history. The trumpets and the bowls would be only the phase when TS really HTF. We've had earthquakes, floods, death, famine, diseases, kings, conquerers, moments of glory, etc. Who knows? |
Ohwow! User ID: 190160 United States 09/24/2010 10:15 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | OP - continue in your walk of faith, nothing has changed. Whatever you "feel" is not the test of reality. God says he will always be with you. Between the last book of the Old Testament being written, and the birth of Christ, the Jewish people had about 450 years of silence in the land from God. There was no prophet to speak for God. This is a recognized period of time by Hebrew scholars. Sometimes, and I am not going to say all the time, because that would be wrong, when there is silence from God, either He is preparing the world, or you on a smaller scale, for a new revelation of His glory. Now, I don't mean new as if God has revealed a "new unbiblical change" Keep praying, walking and doing His will. Only you can determine what is needed in your Christian walk. No one can judge you, you have already been judged, without sin. |
