Quoting: DNAprototype[link to mytechnologyworld9.blogspot.com] Now how did he waste his life? Buddhist meditation can make you feel extremely good, better than most weed lol. Are you saying his life would have been spent better in the states making cheeseburgers all day long? |

It's the thing that most amuses me when people claim some big time "gawd" experience, knowing what they are really doing. Robin Dunbar gives a good account of it in "The Human Story" as well. Quoting: Sir Marmaduke TwengThere is actually not much difference between praying and what I do as an agnostic. Religions consider it praying when they ask Jesus/God for things. I just put out my thoughts into the universe and watch as they come back to me. My anthem to the shills of GLP: We're never gonna, believe in, the stories, that you're weavin' We're believin' in the proof, we're believin' in the truth We're believin' in each other, not you, you, you (Bang Bang Bang - Mark Ronson) ------------------------------------ Janey's "doesntwannabeglpsobad" ~Google It~ ------------------------------------ “Of course I'm crazy, but that doesn't mean I'm wrong.” - Robert Anton Wilson |

Maybe friction who knows. Still That's what I was thinking. The monk must really have been "antsy" during his prayers and pressed/rubbed his feet during prayers in order to leave an impression, that or his feet really sweat a lot, dampened the floor with the oil and sweat along with weight and friction causing the mark. Edit to add: Really thinking about this, it would have to be his feet sweat a lot. Think if you left something like a planter on your deck that you watered to overfull everyday for even 10 years, when you move the planter there will be a similar type mark/indentation.
