True, but to a farmer whats in the barn keeps the home theirs. I'm sure he had insurance on the equitment, but to a farmer time is essential.

theres a city fire department..if you could call the small town a "city"...but theres no county fire dept and if you have a fire the fee has to be pre-paid

i say at the very least they should have went out and done their job..charged the homeowners the whopping $75 bucks and then maybe fined them a little more..

hell anyone would be happy to pay a fine with the fee to save their home...

NO. The fire dept. wanted to make an example out of the old folks. That way fewer people will decide not to pay. Kinda like how mobsters run extortion rackets.
