Quoting: fly on the wallI wouldnt worry about a silver pullback. Its only a few bucks per oz. If you had a few thousand ounces and some fixed rate debt then you are sitting real pretty right now. These are some serious serious gains and its going much higher. Ill probably build to my miners positions. They are undervalued. |

Agent M. Ahmadinejad User ID: 964082 United States 10/06/2010 02:02 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | From my memory in 2008 silver and gold reached its highs( excluding 1980) along with the Dow. Dollar index 72, we are now at 77. Dow is once again climbing, $ index falling, Gold/Silver climbing. If we hit a dollar index of 72, we are going to see $30 Silver and $1800 Gold very soon( just guessing). What is even more scary, is a $ index in the 60s. Europe collapsed and sort of bailed out the Dollar, in 2008. At this point, I don't see what is going to save the $. We could very well be up shit creek. |

Quoting: fly on the wallDammit, I'm late to the party! I was busy getting my FOOD first and am only now able to buy the sparkly stuff. Still, I did some e-Bay work today and got some decent prices. It won't be enough to do much, but I've got my food and my barter lined up already and...well...gotta start somewhere! |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 692254 Australia 10/06/2010 09:38 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Are you interested in investing in precious metals? If so, silver is the way to go. Gold prices have gone through the roof and is unaffordable for most of us. Historically gold and silver prices have risen fairly equally. Generally you got 16oz silver for 1oz gold. When gold shot up in price silver would catch up at a slower pace. Today you would get 66.56oz of silver for 1oz of gold!!!!!!!!!. So,when silver catches up this means 1oz silver at today's price of AU$20.66 should be worth AU$86.19!!!!!. I doubt that any other investment would give such a return. In the event of a world monetary crisis, gold and silver is always where investors turn to for safety. Small denomination gold and silver coins or bars are the best way to get started. They are easily sold for cash or exchanged for goods or services. Also, they return a much higher profit than large bars. If you look at large silver bars on ebay, they generally sell for about spot price plus a small percentage. Small bars and coins sell for well above spot because they are easier to use as currency, or if you are a collector you can collect a much larger variety of bars and coins at a lot less expense. |

Mr Moranass User ID: 960766 United States 10/06/2010 10:24 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | which silver coins are best to buy from apmex? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 9740871oz coins or rounds .999 because that remember that $600 thing they passed even if Silver goes to $500 oz cash one in at a time. you have to report all sales in a calendar year, so you can't get around it by multiple sales under $600. |
