I understand what you are saying...and I bought gold at the low. This is a very scary time we are living in...I've been awake and watching since I was a teenager in the 70's...I've never seen such uncertain times as these. We have to have faith in God and not in ourselves. We are going to see things that we've never seen before and experience things we've never experienced before. We can only hope that we can hunker down and stay put in the safety of our homes when tshtf but this will be a huge testing time for all. When it all goes down, there will not ever be a return back to "normal"....we're on the verge of a one-world government. If no man is able to buy or sell unless he has the mark (which controls people) then there will be no barter. No trading gold for ANYTHING. There will be barter for a short while but then the Hitler type atmosphere where people are ruled with an iron fist goes into effect. It's hard to explain to someone who has bought a ton of gold that the peasants will not be allowed to own anything unless they submit to the mark. They will lose their life--and salvation is the only thing that matters in the end. This is going to be unlike anything the world has ever experienced and will ever experience again. What we're seeing right now is the set-up for the collapse and the "Ten Kings" who will give their power to the anti-christ. Can't have the Ten Kings until there are some changes made. It will not happen over time...it will be immediate. The hammer will come down hard. Unexpectedly for those who cling to their gold. The gold ownership will only last for a short while. Get right with God, people. No one knows the timing of this thing but 2011 is going to be a real bitch. No way I can soften that comment...or "christianize" it.

Partisan-ism aside, I would take a bag of the same size of gold over diamonds any day.

When I was in Israel, a diamond trader told me point blank the prices are manipulated and that hoards of diamonds are stored in vaults.

diamonds are plentiful and not really useful for anything,and they will never be as rare as natural gold nuggets which are usually melted and used for something
