Ill share a story. Given my line of work doesnt allow for lunch breaks etc I used to get my caffeine hits through Diet Pepsi 20oz. Never was a coffee drinker. Started this habit about 10 years ago.

Since that time I have suffered from heart palpitations especially at night when lying down. I had the symptoms worked up and the only positive finding was PAC's (premature atrial contractions) on EKG. I had minimized my caffeine intake at night to minimize the symptoms but they never totally went away.

It wasnt until I gave up on both caffeine and aspartame that I have been symptom free. I do believe I was on the course for sudden death due to dysrhytmia. For anyone thats experienced a PAC its like someone kicking you in the chest. Ventricle double fills then contracts even harder.

Thanks for the education on the dangers of asapartame. I have been symptom free for months now.
