Fasting is cool, I have done several day fasts but never a 5 day one. Sounds like you are doing fine. Be careful when you eat again and keep it to light fruits when staring to eat again.

When you blog, link it back here if threads live that long, I would love to see the results.



Just as a neat little experiment for your own information.
Make a list of all the food commonly eaten by your family on a regular basis and then cut out all the processed stuff for about a month or 2 and see what results you experience.
Soda pop, white bread, margarine, canola oil, white sugar, condiments and sauces, fast foods, snack foods, deli meats and sausages, etc, that kind of stuff.
You can find good lists on the internet.
Replace with whole, fresh, made from scratch foods that are definitely good (and there are many lists available with a little searching around)
You have heard all the claims and nay-sayers, so the only way to really "know" is to do the experiment for yourself and see the results.
You found out that the aspartame was a real detriment to the health and now you "know"...you have only just started to take back your health.

I'm 4 days into a juice fast and I'm dying. I have up alcohol, coffee and all food and drink only 4 cups of fresh vegetable and fruit juice. I have been praying to get through each day without giving up. I'm going for 5 days. I did this because of digestive issues. I just wanted to give my body a chance to heal. I would suggest everyone think about fasting. It's a trip. All kinds of old emotions and traumas are coming to the surface and at time I feel so agitated and others times so at peace, like nothing I have felt in ages.

My digestive problems seem to have started right about when I started smoking a couple cigarettes a day. I also gave those up.
