Looking forward to hearing the results of these more detailed tests. Thank you for sharing! Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1092924The tests already show the cellular mutations exist and they multiply rapidly in the lab. What's taking so much time is trying to identify the DNA markers of the mutated cells. So far, they haven't been able to match them to any known DNA helix. It looks as if we may be dealing with a complete unknown. |

Oiled in Florida (OP) User ID: 1002821 United States 10/11/2010 09:14 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Interview with a BP cleanup worker, GRC Radio (South Carolina), September 30, 2010: (Aircraft) spraying with no lights at night... The people on board thought the boat was on fire... We kept smelling burnt wire… we didn't realize it was the smell of arsenic... It's the chemicals that were being sprayed that left that smell... Our lungs fill up with fluid, can’t breathe... terrible, terrible headaches, skin lesions... I want to live to see my granddaughter... People, we really need help... [link to www.youtube.com] Arsenic trioxide is 500 times more toxic than pure arsenic and its fumes have an odor somewhat resembling garlic. This and other similar arsenic compounds have also been reported to smell like shorted electrical wires or burnt wiring. Arsenic (as well as most arsenic compounds) rises in heat at atmospheric pressure converting directly to a gaseous form. (3) If there is an arsenic compound being sprayed, you would be able to smell it immediately on contact. If there were arsenic compounds in the Gulf of Mexico at any depth, when they come to the surface and become a gas, you would smell it. Those along the Gulf of Mexico and those who have been working from their boats have smelled it repeatedly. That’s all the evidence that’s needed. [link to worldvisionportal.org] |

Looks like the cover-up and media blackout has worked. The Gulf of Mexico is just fine people. Please eat our contaminated and DNA mutated seafood and come swim in our water. Everything's just fine here! |

Woodsprite User ID: 1126287 Sweden 10/12/2010 09:40 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | This is a big deal OP. But GLP,like the rest of the world, have forgotten about this disaster. When things get quite is when we need to be the most concerned. They are too busy with aliens now. TPTB are clever. Quoting: Anonymous Coward 1091410I know I haven't forgotten...but I have gotten to the point of apathy. For a very long time now, people here have been telling the Gulf Coasters about how much physical danger they were being exposed to, that they needed to leave the area. Hearing about the people that have chosen to 'ride the toxic storm out', is depressing. People should have left the area when they knew it was so contaminated. I know that's how I feel about it now. I've lost much of my sympathy, because so many have made the conscious decision to stay. Why should I be worried about people that have known the dangers, and for whatever reason, have chosen to stay in a toxic sludge pit? My ass would have been heading North the first month that this thing started. I know it isn't easy to walk away from your life, everything you've ever known....but seriously, when it comes down to a 'life or death ' situation, that's what has to be done if you are going to survive. To me, they have chosen to die, by staying there, knowing these things. It's hard to feel sorry for people that have made that kind of decision. I'm not trying to sound like a 'judgmental Bitch', just telling how my feelings about what is going on down there have changed over the course of this disaster....might help you understand part of why there is so little response to this thread by others. |

fillantpre User ID: 1127425 United States 10/12/2010 10:11 AM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Gulf of Mexico coastal residents are civilian casualties of a chemical and biological warfare. We have most of the same toxins in our blood and we share the same symptoms experienced by soldiers who survived and died after exposure to debilitating and deadly chemicals in the European trenches of WWI. Quoting: Oiled in FloridaWhile the rest of the world has been deliberately kept in the dark, the Gulf of Mexico has become a chemical and biological battleground. Our shorelines and coastal areas are now the front lines of this deadly war that will bring an onslaught of casualties during the next decade and beyond. We are all entrenched in a war for our survival and the survival of our families for generations to come. While the Gulf Blue Plague continues to affect more and more of us each day, our State and Federal governments ignore us, lie to us, and call us everything from mentally ill to conspiracy theorists. Common sense dictates that the only conspiracy evolves from those who deliberately cover-up the truth of what is taking place in the Gulf. The facts dictate that the chemical and biological war taking place here is surely no theory. One can only conclude that the true conspiracy theorists are those who are deliberately concealing the truth. ARSENIC AND OLD LIES Our private testing of Gulf of Mexico water samples were taken from a 12-15 foot depth approximately 25 miles west of Venice Inlet (Florida) on August 24. We had our testing performed outside the U.S. under the direct supervision of a Chemistry PhD with over 30 years laboratory and field experience at a national university. We are awaiting the final results of time consuming chemical and biological tests that are not yet completed, especially with regards to specific DNA markers for bacterial and cellular mutations. For the time being, our source will remain absolutely anonymous due to the sensitive nature of the ongoing tests. These tests have revealed astounding high levels of a dangerous toxin that no-one has been mentioning, let alone monitoring: ARSENIC. The WHO safety toxicity guideline for arsenic in water is 10 ppb or less to be considered at a safe level. Our test sample from the Gulf of Mexico was 731 ppb of arsenic. One can only imagine the arsenic levels in the northern Gulf waters where the enormous lakes of oil lie hidden beneath the surface along with other contributing factors discussed below. Full Article at [link to worldvisionportal.org] Avoid seafood!!!!!! I think i am going to go back to ordering Flint River Ranch Cat Food (chicken and rice) for my cats......no more seafood......for them...... I am so sorry you guys are going through that......it sounds easy to say "why didn't you leave?" but, I know the various reasons..........still.......I would leave if you can......when the Gov't gets the heat of refugees influxing to other cities and having no jobs etc. to deal with maybe it will stop letting shite like this happen. I still cannot believe they dumped all that corexit in our ocean to make a horrible situation a nightmare The only reason I can think of that they let this happen is because they already have it figured out where they are going to go and what they are going to do (UNDERGROUND) when it gets too much to live up here...... |
