That's wonderful! Perhapse take a study of Daniel chapter 2. This is the first mention in the Bible of the Roman empire, 500 years before it happened! The king has a dream. The dream is revealed to Daniel and tells of four kingdoms from Babylon to the Second Coming. They are; Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and the Roman Empires. Three were told in scripture, the fourth is described as the iron kingdom with two legs. Then in chapter 7 more detail is given about the Roman Empire specifically. In chapter 2 the empires are described as a metal man with the IRON legs representing the Roman Empire. In chpter 7 the four empires are represented as "beasts". The fourth beast has iron teeth and ten horns. This is the Western Roman Empire when it fell into ten kingdoms in 476 AD. Another little horn rises at this time, the papacy-vatican, and it becomes the holy roman empire-beast, later identified in Revelation ruling for this 1260 years "persecuting the siants".

All the descriptors connect the two books, especially this time period.

Ezekiel 4:6 "I have appointed thee each day for a year"

"time and times and the dividing of time"

Hebrew years were 360 days. The "time" is a year, "times" is two years, and "dividing of time" is a half year or 3 1/2 years = 1260 prophetic days/years.

Seven churches are the first to be addressed in the Book of Revelation (Chapter 1-3), and they are addressed as churches, not women. -- LOOK IT UP!

'The Woman' in the Book of Revelation is in reference of a city. Read it again and try to pay attention when you get to the part of the verse that says; "The woman whom you saw represents the great city that has sovereignty over the kings of the earth."

NOTICE IT SAYS CITY, AND NOT CHURCH -- OR THE VERSE WOULD READ:

Just because one time God's people are called a church doesn't mean later they're not also a bride or woman.

It is not opinion. A woman is a church. The pure church is God's bride, the harlot is the false church. And the seven churches is also symbolic of time periods. Right now we are in laodicia.

17:18 "And the woman which you saw is that great city, which reigns over the kings of the earth."

She is a woman-church and a city.

Verse 16 is what we are up against and is being fulfilled as you are reading this.

The Beast with the ten horns must fulfill this verse in its entirety to receive the Royal authority of world-oil . Most of this verse has been fulfilled. The harlot (USA) riding the beast (Europe) that we’ve all grown accustom to reading and watching on the news has blinded us from seeing that the beast began to hate the harlot by uniting (EU) and denominating some of her oil wells into euros (Iran-Iraq), and has begun eating her flesh (US troops) in Iraq because of Saddam denominating his oil to the euro causing the war. The verse promises it will go Nuclear and the beast will consume the harlot with fire, leaving her (USA) naked and desolate taking her oil-currency authority away so the Europeans can print the paper (euros) other countries will need to purchase the necessary oil for their economies in exchange for real goods and/or services.

Why 2012?

Well, for the Beast to rule with royal authority the global oil for 1hour it becomes highly possible that the Harlot will have ruled for the same amount of time. Remember one hour isn't the literal 60 minutes, it is 41.666 years on God’s calendar.
