Do you think food companies intentionally spend money and use products that harm or that it is a un-intended side affect?

I doubt all these seperate companies have a master plot other than making more money. If anything, look into the makers of the products that you are suspicious about and see what their motivation is. Is it too, to make money?

What amazes me is how people are able to keep going with all these toxins in them. There must be something inside us that keeps the balance anyway. I myself eat very, very healthy but everyone around me eats awful stuff (regular American food) and they still are going along. Sure they have more aches and pains, headaches, infections, and feel bad at least a couple of days a week (and when I feel bad it is like a major big deal because I don't feel bad often and I hate to feel bad.) They pop alot of over the counter meds, too, which to me seems very destructive of the body's balance. And yet they do go on. I find it rather amazing what the body will put up with and keep going.

I had started feeling pretty sluggish, moody, overweight and generally depressed. I started looking a little more closely at the "food" that our grocery stores carry.. I started using only natural personal care products (soap, shampoo, deodorant ect.) stopped eating any pre-made or "just add (fill in the blank) foods". Stuck to fresh vegetables and protiens.. dumped sugar and replaced with stevia and cut out all simple carbs. I was EXTREMELY sick for about 2 months... in the washroom 10 to 15 times a day sick. However, after that 2 months of hell I feel better than I have in years. I enjoy cooking again, and although the food I use is not always organic a good part of it is. My new way of life has enabled me to lose 33lbs and be back at my High Scool weight from 18 years ago and I have a ton of energy now. My motto now is-- if they didn't have it in 1950 I don't need it. Shit I even make my own chocolate using organic pure coconut oil, stevia and cocoa powder (women can't live without chocolate!)
