The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.” Great quote by CS Lewis...which to me, is to say... Quoting: Portable Lewis 1065104It's either pure fantasy, in which case, one shouldn't waste a second refuting it. (yet they do) or It's the most important revelation in the history of human experience -- in which case, one should do everything in their power to tell others about it. (yet many don't) Hence, the rub. So before any Christians start getting all high, mighty, and judgmental with objectors, remember the only difference between you and the worst of us is Grace, nothing else. And before any objectors start spewing venom against Christianity, remember that their faith compels them to tell you about it, whether you're in the mood to hear it or not. Wow, so much to say, I have to just hit the high points. If Christianity is false, and of no importance, than the MILLIONS of murdered dead deserve justice. MILLIONS of duped people currently giving BILLIONS deserve a refund. Christians have killed more people in the name of 'god' than even rulers of kingdoms, and someone has the balls to say it, "is of no importance"??? It is their faith that compels them to tell me about it? How f'd up is that? Yeah, the average person might just say, "hey, you heard this story?" but no, many beleive that a) you are a heaten if you don't believe b) you MUST believe this way because thats my interpretation of the bible. c) oh by the way, if you are wrong you burn in a horrible hell for eterity. But no pressure! (think 10:10 in England) What a scam. Oh, and your book leaves out 85% your hero's life. WTF is that about? In half the book, god is angry and vengful, but the other half he's all nice and cozy. Some rules apply in the old days, but not any more, and some rules don't apply that did. And this is the infinite creator? He can't see his own design over a few hundred years later? What part am I to believe? Wait, where's salvation for those who lived before the time of Jesus? Are they just fu**ed as part of God's plan? What about those in the jungles of South America? No god-child for them? oh, how I could go on and on. Have fun Mr. It's-of-no-Importance. |
